Chapter 40

Jungkook pushed away Jimin from him holding both his shoulders. When he saw Jin, he pushed Jimin harder making the latter fall to his ass.

"Jin..." He said.

"Jungkook, that hurts." Jimin said, trying to stand and waiting for Jungkook to assist him.

"You deserve that. You should be hurt more after everything you have done. You don't deserve any kind of happiness." Jungkook said when he looked back at him then ran away to follow Jin.

Jimin's eyes widened upon hearing what Jungkook said.

"Come back here, Jeon Jungkook!" Jimin said but Jungkook did not listen.

Jungkook tried to stop the elevator from closing but even before he reached the button, it already closed completely. He went to the fire exit and quickly ran down to reach Jin.

"Fuck!" He said to himself while running.

When he finally reached the ground floor, he saw the elevator opening and saw Jin going out. He immediately went to Jin and hugged him suddenly.

"Please let go." Jin said.

"I won't. I won't make the same mistake again. I will not let you go again." Jungkook said.

Hearing that, Jin suddenly cried.

"Let's get away from here. Away from Jimin." Jungkook said.

"I want to be alone." Jin said.

"From now on, you won't be alone. I will be with you whatever happens." He said to Jin and hugged him tighter.

Jungkook pulled away and looked at Jin.

Jin tried to look away feeling like he looks like a mess.

"Let's go somewhere? Hm?" Jungkook said wiping the tears away from Jin's face.

"But you cooked dinner." Jin said with a pout.

Jungkook smiled at him. "I know what we can do." He said then pulled Jin's hand as they went to the building's office.

"Yes, that was him." Jungkook said to the security as they watched the CCTV.

"We'll make sure to block him in the building moving forward, Mr. Jeon. We are sorry for whatever he caused to you tonight. We are also sorry that your direct doorbell from the main door of the building is not yet working but we'll make sure to activate it as soon as possible." The security said.

"Thank you for your help, Sir. We'll get going now seeing that he already left the building."

Jungkook looked at Jin.

"Let's go? I'm sure you are hungry." Jungkook said to Jin and the latter nodded.

They were both silent as they rode the elevator again.

"I should tell mom and dad." Jin said to Jungkook.

"Last time I heard he was already seeing a doctor. What happened?" Jungkook asked.

"The doctor thought he is fine. He moved in my building, same floor, few weeks ago." Jin said.

"Is that the reason why you don't like going home on time for the past few weeks?"
