Narrator POV:
Greenvale, a large country in the middle of the European continent, was rich with beauty and bounty for its inhabitants. Thick, Lush Woods that lend all Animals shelter from the elements and was home to a large amount of Deer, Wild Boars, Wolves and Bears, were the standard, along with long flowing Rivers, filled with Fish and Crustaceans that reached all the way to the Sea. To the East lay the huge "Hammer Mountains", named after its unique shape, that offered a near impregnable defense from any invading Army. To the North was the Kingdom of Frieren, a cold Mountain region that was Home to the Barbaric clans that succeeded in the harsh environment and who keept to themself most of the times and to the West lay the vast "Hollowpoint" Ocean
The country was said to be near invulnerable to any large scale attack...but one group tried to anyway. The Beast tribe, called Magi beasts, had taken control of the south, a large Desert area that had served as the entrance to the Sahar lands nearly 50 years back in 520 BF ("Before the Fates" a Religion I will explain later on). The Tribes didn't make a big secret that they wanted to control everything and were said to be Evil by their very nature and hated by most because of it. They had pushed inlad a few Miles before they met heavy resistance and the War that began with huge movement had entered a stalemate a few years back
In the Capital of Greenvale, called Bright Moon, stood Castle Grayskull, an ancient Monument to ironclad will and Dominance, overlooking the City and its near 2 thousand People. The Royal Family had rained for over 100 years and were , while not beloved, respected for their largely equal treatment and loyalty to their People.
King Mica was a calm ruler who had learned much from other cultures before he ascended the Throne, bringing the country advanced research in Field work, Medicine and Technology. He was a skilled Mage who detested conflict but knew how to defend himself and others
Queen Angella, a former commoner, was the secret Ruler of it all, organizing Troop movements, Battle strategies, relief work and such. While she had to learn all of it from scratch, her years of War had hardened her to deal with it in a manner that was exemplary. Her Magic was weak but made it possible for her to be awake most of the days and nights without much need for sleep or succor
Crown Prince Adam was their oldest child. He had started his training early and even though he was only 12, his discipline and demeanor were one of a kind. The light blonde Hair he wore combined with his natural Charm, gave him the upper hand in most discussions and he learned early that some battles are won long before Steal met Steal. His Magic was strong, surprisingly and gave him control over light glyphs that aided him in and out of Battle
Princess Glimmer, their second born, had been fascinated by Royalty and History, learning all she could to represent her House and Name with the utmost elegance. In Private she could be foul mouthed and opinionated but never so in polite company. To her shame, her Magic had yet to show itself, despite her advanced age of 10
Princess Adora, their youngest, was the odd one out. She had displayed a shocking amount of intelligence, acing exams that were meant for her older Brother and showing an interest to things that nobody seemed to think were of great importance such as the study of Magic even though she had been born with barely any, the development of Languages, the invention of Gadgets and, most looked down upon, the study of Magic Beasts. When her Father asked her why she would need to know any of this, the young Princess smirked and looked at her Parent with a judgemental gaze "Father, for one to fight an Enemy, one must know it first, that's common knowledge"
Today was Adoras 8th birthday and as a request she wanted to visit the local Market to look for "Something that would entice her" or so she claimed. As was customary, She had been sent out with a personal Protector, the vice- captain of the Guard . He was not happy about it but "orders are orders" as his captain liked to say.
