Narrator POV:
In Salineas, a sense of Peace had returned to the Island and its inhabitants. With the Royal couple making a full recovery, Mermista had finally been allowed to sleep once again and her Body and mind desperately needed the rest.
Not long after Adoras group had left on their different paths, a shadow could be spotted in the Castle stopping in front of the young Woman's room but walking further into it still to the guest room in which Prof. Sabétha Willerby slept peacefully and undisturbed. The door barely made a sound when opened and closed just as quietly and the Shadow snuck up to the sleeping Woman
"Oh yes... you do nicely" the shadow thought and took out a wire fastened to two wooden sticks. They bend over Prof Willerby and arranged a wire around her neck before their eyes took on a deep, dark Purple "In death, be made anew"
With a sickening *snap*, the wire bit into the Woman's neck and woke her out of her slumber. Her first instinct was to turn around but the stranger had positioned himself right on top of her, pressing his knee into her Spine and making it impossible to move "Shshsh, let it happen, it's over soon" he whispered, increasing the pressure until he could hear a loud *crack* and her struggle was over. After applying the pressure for a few more seconds, just to be certain, the figure let go and wiped his forehead from sweat "Ahh, what a nice evening... now for the boring part".
He jumped off the bed and took out a small satchel, containing a few vials and powders that he required. Setting up the circle around the Bed was the easy part but painting symbols on a corpse was always difficult for someone who had little to no artistic skills. After preparing the lengthy ritual, the Shadow cracked his fingers and focused all of his energy on the circle. A small, red glow appeared, letting the lifeless Body vibrate and hover slightly "I call upon you, father Hades. Grant this soul another chance and close the door of Tartarus to her, Sabétha Willerby"
With a flick of his wrist, the Body jerked upright and after a few seconds, Sabétha Willerby took a surprised and abrupt breath before falling back on the Bed "Welcome back, Professor"
"You... who..." she held her throbbing throat in pain
"Yeah, sorry about that... least amount of damage to the body, you understand"
"... fucking bastard.. killed me"
"I did... to free you. How do you feel now?" the stranger sat on the Desk that stood in the room, admiring his work.
The exhausted Woman felt like shit but her mind had not been so free in years "I... remember. I lost my memories and became a docile imbecile"
"Yeah, that was funny" he laughed
"Who are you?"
"Call me Xaver and I am here to make you a little offer"
"By killing me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow
"A necessity, I assure you. How did you end up cursed, can you remember?"
"Shadow weaver... that loathsome creature took my mind from me..." she muttered and remembered seeing Catra again, her face breaking into a sickening smile "...but at least, I found something I had thought long lost" she got up and looked at herself in the mirror and cringed at the mess her Hair had become "I need a knife" she muttered, more to herself than to him and a breath later, a sharp dagger stuck in the wall beside her "... thanks, i guess". Moments later, Sabétha had cut most of her Hair off, leaving only a bit that curled to her Ears "Better... Now, what offer were you talking about?"
---
Meanwhile, there was another murder in progress, deep inside a mansion in Frieren. While they had agreed to help Frosta, the best course of action was to wait for the others to arrive before making any great moves and Catra was absolutely on board with that plan... until the following conversation happened 4 hours prior.
