Narrator POV:

Beast kin or Beast People: bipedal Mammals who had never shed their Fur or Animalistics, making some more irritable and aggressive but also more agile and simply stronger than humans. That was not to say they were the unquestionable dumber species; however, they had the capability to eclipse humans in strategy and tactics, if they were forced into a position that demanded it. Hybrids, however, inherited mostly from the Human side, leaving them with far less advantageous abilities than their Beast counterparts but a wider range of adaptability

The City was a marvel of Water and Crystal, an Oasis of spices, heat and fresh produce. With Names like "The Diamond of the Desert" and "The conquered Jewel" it attracted a lot of visitors who aimed to make their fortune in the Gambling dens or on the Market but Humans are usually only here as Slaves

Finally, back in Civilization, the Group made their way through the strict controls of the Guards by the south Gate of Sertha. They didn't hide their open disdain for the Humans and took their time to look through the few items they've been transporting but kept them waiting in the Heat with only a Wolfkin watching them.

"What's taking so loooong" Loonie complained, leaning against the Horse "I'm hungry and have sand in too many places it doesn't belong. How much longer do we have to wait here?"

"That's what we get for not announcing our arrival...we get treated like everyone else"

"Worse" Adora said, fanning her Face "We get treated like Human scum"

Catra started to lose her patience first and took it upon herself to talk to their Guard "Is there a problem? Our inventory has been checked for 20 minutes, something a blind Person would have done in less and yet you still stall us here"

"We have strict instructions" a young Wolfkin said, showing her his teeth "Get back to your group, Mixblood" Mixblood, a derogatory term used for Hybrids, was an old insult that Human society had stopped using years ago

Catra started to get worried about the others, especially Adora, who had all color drained from her Face "I'm done playing nice" she thought before switching to Beast tongue

"You smell like a coward" she smirked "Do your fucking Job, Mutt"

The provocation was simple but effective "HA? Watch how you address me, whore"

"I smell more dick on you then I ever have before, Bitch, so you watch what you're saying"

Still on the Horse, Adora watched Catra especially closely. With Nemesis now on her side, who knows what would happen, should some poor fuck anger her and release something she failed to control. She got off the Horse and addressed the Guard in beast tongue, something she perfected after Catra had left "We are Royal dignitaries from Greenvale. Be advised that any action will be seen as your superiors responsibility and could have consequences for you all"

"Ha, royal my Ass, you look like beggars. Go lie to someone else, cunt"

"How much longer do you think it'll be?" Adora asked, remaining calm, in hopes of keeping the peace

"Who knows?" He shrugged "My Colleagues are on break anyway so maybe you'll get into the City sometime tonight" he grinned

Before Adora could find it in her to continue to be diplomatic, Catra stepped up to him "So..you think you can keep us here, in this Heat, for the whole Day?"

"Heat? It's refreshingly cold this morning" he laughed....a mistake in retrospect

"You...are going to learn the word Fair today, Boy" Catra snapped, her Hand only a flash before it reached his Eyes, her own tinted in black "It's better to suffer an injustice than to commit one" she muttered under her breath, the words taking on an otherworldly reverbaration
