"I was a player and made the choice to give my heart to you"- Tyrese

We woke up on Wednesday, it was Valentines Day. We were supposed to leave for a hike in the next thirty minutes and Wandile was no wear near getting ready.

The lunch date with Andile and his girlfriend was actually a success. Wandile ended up cancelling on me last minute so I'm sure his side chick told him not to come here. I decided against telling Andile about the person that he's going to marry him- it's honestly none of my business as we're not even friends anymore.

I tied my shoelaces and raided through my suitcase so I could find the cap that I had brought along.

"AIbo sijahhephi?" (Where are we rushing off to?) Wandile asked, as he wrapped the white robes we were given tighter against his body. He stretched his arms and released a very loud yawn.

"I am going to enjoy my time here, just because you want to stay in bed and hang your balls, does not mean that I want to do the same." I said, saying that with a fake smile on my face.

"Happy Valentines Day to you too Phiwo, you'll find me here in bed when you get back. I'll probably eat in." he said, dragging his feet and walking towards the bathroom.

This is definitely not the weekend away I had ordered. I would have preferred spending the day with Thandiswa, watching some sappy romance movies and crying as we complain about our miserable love lives.

I walked out with my water bottle and shades covering my glasses. The guide had told us all to meet in front of the conference room. After walking for about five minutes, I found Andile also walking with his headphones out. I rushed so I could catch up with him and gave his shoulder a tap.

"Awu. Sweet Pea, I did not know you like these things" he said, greeting me with a hug. We both made light conversation as we walked to the conference room.

"So, any kids?" I asked him.

"Lol, not yet mama. The timing is not right yet, I have to build a house back eNanda for my family first and then travel the world."

Andile, ever so ambitious.

"How is your MaZungu and your dad?" he asked

"You know my dad, still as strict as ever but he's dialled it down a bit because of old age." He laughed and we finally caught up with the rest of the group. There were not a lot of us who were doing this hike. There were about twenty of us.

"Your husband is not joining us?" he whispered in my ear as the guide was busy giving us instructions.

"No, what about your future Mrs?" I asked

We were now walking slowly behind everyone else. I was more engrossed in this conversation than I was on the actual hike. We were told that it was going to be a short 5km hike.

"I don't know if I should be telling you this seemed off about her yesterday. I've decided to just take my time and really get to know the type of person she is, you know?" he said.

"That's great. That's how it should be done anyways." I replied.

"How long did it take your husband to propose to you?"

"Uhm, well- not a long time I guess."

"Oh well-"

"Look at that bird, isn't it lovely?" I asked, trying to direct anymore questions that may relate to my 'marriage'.

We completed the hike and by the time we got back, all I needed was a long shower and some food. Andile and I spoke about everything excluding my marriage.
