"You give me a feeling that I've never felt before."- Unthinkable(I'm Ready) by Alicia Keys

(Unedited)

"Where's mom?" a young girl said walking into the hospital like she owned it. Her brother was behind her and they were both escorted by a security guard who was holding their bags.

Why couldn't they just leave it in the car?

"Hello my loves," Mandulo stood up to greet. They rushed to give her a hug. After breaking apart they turned to my direction and looked at me.

"Sukoluhle?" The boy asked me

"No. My name is Phiwo." I said, with a smile.

"NO, you're Sukokuhle, mommy's first child." The girl said.

I awkwardly offered them a hug. They seemed to know who I was while I knew nothing about them. I only found out about their existence today.

"My name is Yandisokuhle and that's my brother, our brother, Yenzokuhle." The girl introduced herself. How great. I'm meeting my siblings in a hospital while my bio mom is in ICU waiting to get a kidney.

"Nice to meet you guys. You can call me Phiwo, please." I said.

After that, they made conversation with Mandulo as  I continued to rest my head on Wandile's shoulder as he brushed my arm.

The doctor came back for the second time with a clipboard in his hand.

"We've managed to stabilize her. We tried a new treatment for now, just enough to limit the pain she's feeling and slow down the symptoms. That gives you guys approximately two weeks to decide what you are going to do, maybe find a family friend who is a match."

Mandulo started crying loudly.

"I'm willing to donate my kidney," Yandisokuhle said

"Unfortunatley, you're still to young to be able to donate. And the only person who was going to be able to give you permission is laying in that bed right now."

After the doctor left us with our thoughts, I asked Wandile if we could drive back because it was getting quite dark.

"Don't you think we should get a place nearby?"

"No" I said, not even thinking about his offer.

I stood up and walked towards the door and I heard a lot of footsteps following. Wandile was the only person who was supposed to be following me because we're making our way to Durban right now.

"Wait Sukoluhle," Yandi, the girl said, calling out to me.

"Don't you want to see mom before you leave?" Yenzi asked

I shook my head and proceeded to walk out but they stopped  before I made my way to the parking lot.

"Please come say goodbye at least, you don't know what the future holds." Aunt Mandulo said.

I groaned internally and decided to walk straight to the room that she was in. The doctor told me that she was currently resting but I went in anyways.

She was in a private room, with no patients. I'm  assuming this is because she is the queen of this town.

Her eyes fluttered open as if she felt my presence as soon as I entered the room.

"Sukoluhle?", she tried sitting up straight on the bed, but I pushed her body down.

"Did you plan all of this," I asked as I decided to settle down on the chair, facing her direction.
