(Don't forget to COMMMMENNNTTTT and vote. Happy Reading <3)

I saw a car following me. I don't know where I was running off to, I was dumb enough to leave my phone plugged in the charger on Wandile's bed. I thought the car was just going to pass by but it got slower as it approached me and suddenly it stopped and two men walked out. Nobody had to tell me twice, I sprinted and decided a road which led to a small house on the hill.

The men were hot on my tail, both of them wearing black golf shirts and pants. I did not even knock on the tiny house I found on the hill. There was an elderly woman who looked to be in her late 60s and a small boy sitting in front of the television. The woman's eyes were wide open. You could tell she was shocked, a random woman was in her house and it was 22:00.

"Hayibo Jesu wami. Ngiyalingwa. Sizani!" She started screaming. The young boy stood up from the grass mat and just as he was about to exit the door, the two men blocked his view.

"Sawubona ma. She's with us." One of the men said. He grabbed my upper arm and dragged me towards the door.

"No mama, I don't know these men, they want to steal me." I said.

"Mtanami. These men work for the Gumede family as security guards. I don't know what you did but I don't want to get involved. That family is too dangerous. Ubaba wakhona is one of the most powerful healers in this village." she said

She then proceeded to push us out of the door and close it behind us.

Both of the men are still grabbing my upper arm, each man with his own arm.

They shoved me into the car and both of them entered the front.

"Are you guys not even going to help me escape?"

Silence

"I'll send you guys all the money I have in my bank account. I have like R25 000."

"That's our weekly salary," one guy said

Shit. It's quite clear that there's nothing I can do to convince these guys. Do I really think the Gumede's are going to welcome me back with open arms after I just took off.

During dinner, I excused myself and said I have to go and charge my phone. While I was seated, I thought of ways in which I could escape because there is no way in hell that I was beginning the whole process of getting married tomorrow. Umembeso is when the groom's family brings gifts to the bride's family that serve as a token of appreciation for their new bride. This whole process is supposed to be handled by my family so I'm really curious as to why The Gumede's are the one's organizing everything.

I casually walked out of the gate and took off as soon as I was about 20 meters away, someone must have seen me because not even five minutes later, there was a car following me.

We finally entered the yard and it was very quiet. I thought I'd find the whole family outside waiting to give me a lecture.

I walked straight to the outside building because I did not feel like seeing Wandile's parents. I went into the boy's room and found that they had already been tucked into bed and they were sleeping.

I walked into Wandile's room and slipped into the covers without even removing the clothes I had on. Wandile walked into the room a few minutes later with a towel wrapped around his body, he was taking a shower.

"What the fuck Phiwokuhle? What the actual fuck?"

"Are you kidding me? We had a conversation about communication not so long ago Wandile and you pull this shit on me. You go on and arrange a whole fucking traditional wedding behind my back." I stated
