"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13

Wandile suggested that we leave as soon as received the news because it was too much for me to take in. It was unfair of me to release all my anger on Mandulo whereas her sister is the one who abandoned me. My question is, couldn't she at least call and see how her sister's child is doing.

Wandile dropped me off at home and drove off right after. There was still a few people lounging around inside the tent, blasting music and drinking alcohol. We all have those men in our neighbourhood who just never know when to leave when there's free alcohol involved.

I marched straight to my room and locked the door behind me changing out of this dress. I was too tired to even take a shower so I wiped the make up off my face and went straight to bed.

One could say that Wandile is growing on me but it's still going to be very hard for me to get over everything that he's ever done to me

One could say that Wandile is growing on me but it's still going to be very hard for me to get over everything that he's ever done to me.  I can see that he's really trying to fix things between us so we could be a normal , healthy couple but I still don't trust him. A part of me is expecting him to cheat, he's probably entertaining someone right now while he has my picture on his Whatsapp, telling people that's his cousin.

I decided to stop overthinking and finally drifted off to sleep. We had a long day ahead of us.

The next morning, I was woken up by Wandile calling me just to say 'good morning'. He told me that tomorrow my little stay cation was going to be over because I had to report back to work. He told me that his was driving down with the kids from Newcastle and that was around 5am. He'll probably be entering Durban by 9am and drop off the kids first.

I decided to wake up and start cleaning the whole house. I even made soft porridge because that's what both of my parents eat. I tried implementing oats or bran flakes into their diet but they were not having it. We were supposed to make a stop along the way and fetch Mandulo because we needed her to gain entry into the royal house.

After cleaning, I took a shower and changed into a green wrap dress and sandals. I tried removing the glue this morning but it was too strong. The make up artist did say that it was going to be intact for two weeks minimum.

I found MaZungu in the kitchen still wearing her gown. My father was seated on the sofa watching the morning news on eNCA.

"Thank you for making porridge and cleaning my baby. Where are you off to so early in the morning?" she asked.

"I have to go somewhere with Wandile, ma. There's some small ritual nyana we have to do they welcome me into the family." I said, lying through my teeth.
