The room was dimly lit, casting subtle shadows as two figures moved gracefully in synchrony. Beyoncé's "Dance for You" filled the space, its sultry melody and intimate lyrics set the stage for a choreography that demanded a level of physical closeness beyond the usual bounds of performance.

As Mina and Sana navigated the dance moves and harmonies, every touch became a brushstroke in a painting of shared moments, eyes remained locked on each other, their bodies swaying to the music with effortless grace. Each intricate step brought them closer together, their fingers intertwining to form a tangible connection.

As they danced, the air between them crackled with electricity, the space around them charged with an undeniable chemistry. It became increasingly difficult to ignore the magnetic pull drawing them closer, their breaths mingling in the intimate atmosphere.

"I'ma take this time to show you how much you mean to me," Beyoncé's voice reverberated through the practice room, its soulful resonance infusing the air with emotion. As the final moments of the choreography unfolded, Sana and Mina found themselves locked in a mesmerizing tableau, faces so close they can feel each other's breath, for what at least for one of them, felt like an eternity.

With the lights flickering back on and the manager's applause ringing in their ears, Mina struggled to break free from the captivating gaze that held her transfixed on Sana. Despite the commotion around them, their shared moment lingered like a whisper in the air, a silent conversation of unspoken emotions.

"Mina, are you okay?" Sana's sudden giggle shattered the spell, pulling Mina back to reality.

"Yes, yes, I was just spacing out" Flustered, Mina hastily extricated herself from Sana's embrace, reaching for a bottle of water to mask the blush creeping onto her cheeks. She turned away, hiding her flushed face from Sana's gaze, unwilling to reveal the tumult of emotions stirring within her.

"Well, girls, that was amazing," the manager said, jotting down notes as she spoke. "You just need to keep practicing and become a hundred percent familiar with the song. Good thing you still have time. That's why I've already booked the practice room for you almost every day. Is that okay with you?"

"I can do it! I'm actually very excited about it," Sana chimed in cheerfully. "Right, Mina? We're going to do amazing." She turned to Mina, who seemed to still be lost in thought. "Mina?"

"What? Yes, let's go eat," Mina replied, unaware of the conversation. "You were spacing out again," Sana laughed at her friend's response. "Manager Unnie said we're going to practice almost every day. Are you okay with that?"

"Yes, sure. Let's do it," Mina finally snapped back to reality.

"Great!" Sana exclaimed, bubbling with excitement. "Now let's go to actually eat." She linked arms with Mina and waved to the manager as they headed for the door.

It was a peacefully quiet night, perfect for restful sleep, yet the brunette girl found herself wide awake, her heart beating faster than usual. "What's going on?" she murmured to herself, her hand resting on her chest. She was grappling with an internal conflict—"why Am I feeling this way? Why had I gotten lost in her eyes during practice?"

Unable to shake off these thoughts, she decided to clear her mind with a glass of water from the kitchen. "Mina! What are you doing up?" a calm yet surprised voice greeted her as she entered the kitchen.

"Hey, Unnie. I couldn't sleep. What about you?" Mina responded with a weak smile.

"Late-night snack. What's bothering you?" the other girl asked, a hint of concern in her eyes.

"Nothing, Unnie. It's just... I think I'm overthinking about my performance with Sana."

"I see" Jeongyeon said offering her a warm smile "What is it? Do you feel like there isn't enough chemistry between you two?"

"The problem is there's too much chemistry," Mina murmured to herself, not wanting the other to hear.

"What?" Jeongyeon's brows furrowed, wanting to confirm if she had heard correctly.

"Oh, nothing," Mina quickly corrected herself, not wanting to reveal her inner turmoil. "I just meant that it feels different being in the spotlight. When it's all of us, I can still blend in a bit, but now, all eyes will be on Sana and me. What if I mess up? What if I ruin this for both of us? Will she still want to be friends with me, even if she ends up hating me after everything?"

"Take a breath, Mina," Jeongyeon said soothingly, drawing closer to her and enveloping her in a comforting hug. "First of all, I know you sometimes feel overwhelmed by too much attention, but trust me, it's because everyone loves you. You're one of the most beloved members of our group."

"Not everyone," Mina quietly countered, a hint of sadness in her tone.

Jeongyeon raised an eyebrow. "Secondly, Sana would be the last person to hate you. She adores you and Momo, you're her favorite people in the world. She only wants to protect you."

Mina's smile brightened a little at the reassurance.

"And thirdly," Jeongyeon continued, gently pulling Mina apart to meet her gaze directly, "Are we still talking about the performance?"

"Yes, it's all about the performance," Mina reassured herself, rolling back into her bed. "I want this to be a great performance for both of us. That's why I'm worrying so much."

As she closed her eyes, Mina couldn't shake off the lingering question in her mind. "But why don't I feel the same towards Momo?" she pondered, turning to the other side. "Well, who says I'm not feeling the same way about Momo? Maybe this is just how friendship is supposed to feel."

Suddenly struck by an idea, Mina sat up abruptly, a bright smile spreading across her face. "I've got it!"

"Mina unnie, I love you, but can you please be a little quieter? It's 2 in the morning," Dahyun, Mina's roommate, groaned from her bed, clearly tired and wanting to sleep.

"Oh, sorry," Mina whispered, putting a hand over her mouth to stifle any further noise. After a moment, she smirked in satisfaction with her idea and finally settled back into bed, feeling content that she had found a solution to her confusing thoughts. Tomorrow, she resolved, she would put a stop to her overthinking.
