"I'm pretty sure she didn't mean it; maybe she was just having a bad day."

The two Japanese girls were seated in the same row in the first-class section of the plane. Mina and Sana were engaged in an open conversation, taking advantage of the long flight ahead. The older girl wasn't having the greatest time; the conversation from last night with Jihyo had really affected her, not just because of the words, but because of who they were coming from.

At the very beginning, they didn't know each other too well. Jihyo had been a trainee for almost her whole life, while Sana was a newbie who couldn't speak the language. Their first years together weren't really significant; they exchanged only a few words and had some meetings. Who would have thought that after joining Twice, their relationship would turn into such a special and deep connection?

For Sana, Jihyo was always her support, a friend with whom she could always find understanding and love. She gave the same in return, comforting the other girl in hard times and always being there for her. They were like sisters, or even something deeper; they knew everything about each other, from innocent prank secrets to their deepest fears and insecurities.

"That's what I want to believe. I will talk to her later. I think she was avoiding me all morning. She wasn't in the dorm when I woke up, and we weren't in the same van on our way here," Sana continued to express her frustrations with a sad tone.

"I'm sure she was just busy. Don't worry, you'll see, everything will be alright, and I'll be here by your side all the time," the younger said, intertwining her hands, earning a loving smile from Sana in response to the gesture.

"I hope so, and when we make up, I'm going to make her suffer for making me cry," Sana said, now more enthusiastic than before.

"You're so sweet," Mina said ironically, with a chuckle.

"And you love me,"

"Yes, I do. So much."

"I love you too."

"Sana?" the named turned her head at the mention of her name, and found her fellow Japanese taking off her earphones in the seat across the aisle.

"Yes?"

"Tzuyu and I just finished the movie, and it made me remember something that I want to talk to Mina about something. Can we change seats for a while?"

"Um, sure?" Sana said, looking for Mina's agreement. The younger observed quietly, nodding at the request.

They stood up to make the change after a few smiles between the couple. It wasn't a problem for them; they knew that taking care of their friendships was important too. However, someone wasn't really prepared for the situation and started to feel her heart pounding in her chest.

"What are you doing, Momo? I shouldn't have told you about this earlier," Tzuyu thought. She knew the real intentions of the dancer were actually to give her a chance to be seated next to her favorite person. Nevertheless, she felt more nervous than ever.

"Hey," Sana greeted when she finally settled into her new seat.

"Hey."

"Great, Tzuyu, don't you know any other words?" the Taiwanese scolded herself internally.

"What were you watching?" Sana continued the conversation, as usual.

"Eh... I don't know. I actually fell asleep. That's the real reason she asked you to change seats; she got mad at me for not paying attention," the maknae casually said, earning a muffled laugh.

"Cute."

"I'm not cute; I'm a serious person."

"Whatever you say, baby," Sana said while pinching her friend's cheeks. The Taiwanese inside her was actually kind of disappointed; she was trying so hard to stop being seen as a baby by her long-time crush.
