I finished up a meeting and went over to the club. We had a couple of drinks and I went over to the bar. I needed something stronger than what they were bringing to the tables. I looked at my phone to see Giovanni texted me telling me he's back from his honeymoon. I needed to speak to him about-. Speaking of. I looked over to the other end of the bar it was her. Ellie Fitzpatrick. It's been a couple of weeks since I had Alphonso look her up to see that the guy she was with was her ex-boyfriend. He worked catering with her. She just got the catering job. She's 24. I'm 5 years older than her. I saw her wearing a tight black dress. Her hair was in curls this time and she looked amazing. I went over to her and stood next to her.

"Can I buy you a drink?" I asked her and she looked up at me and rolled her eyes

"You're stalking me now?" she asked and I shook my head

"We happened to be at the same place at the same time" I said "It's fate"

"More like bad luck. I never got your name" She said and I smiled that she wanted to know. She noticed my smile. "Forget it"

"Miles Marino" I said sticking my hand out and she looked at it reluctantly and put her hand in mine. I felt a wave a feeling through me when we touched. I know she did too because her eyes widened. I kissed her hand and she watched me.

"Miles" she said and I smirked

"What?" She asked

"Nothing" I said even though I loved hearing her say my name even though I'd rather hear her scream it.

"I should get going" she said letting go of my hand

"Hot date?" I asked her and she laughed

"Maybe" she said walking off but I stepped in front of her

"Are you forgetting something?" I asked her and she looked confused

I pointed at the bar and she rolled her eyes at me going back to the bar. She forgot her drink that she ordered.

"Why must you insist on running from me?" I asked her

"Cause I know to stay away from men like you." She said and I smirked

"What's men like me?" I asked leaning against the bar

"Arrogant assholes" She said looking over her shoulder at me and she realized how close I was

"Funny." I said rolling my eyes "Go on a date with me."

"I'm not looking for a relationship" She said and I laughed

"Me neither. Do you not like food?" I asked her and she shook her head

"I'm appalled. I know you're lying. Have dinner with me." I said

"That's not a question. It's a statement." She said

"Right. Give me your number." I said taking my phone out my pocket

She got her drink and I nodded at the bartender to charge it to me. She put her card away.

"Thank you" She said

"Ah she's nice" I said and she shook her head

"I'm not nice" She said

"Don't worry. We'll work on it" I said and I almost saw a smile creep up her lips. I smiled at the thought.

She took my phone from my hands and put her number in.

"What should I save your number as darling?" I asked her

"Same thing Im saving yours as..I'm not" She said "Bye Miles"

"Bye Darling" I said watching her walk away and couldn't help how tight my pants were getting. I shook my head. She was so goddamn mean but I loved it.
