I went downstairs after showering and saw Cameron waiting in my office.

"I thought you'd be smart enough to stay away from me." I said and he nodded

"Some issues are more pressing." He said

"Why the fuck would you take my girlfriend to meet my friends?" I yelled

"Technically I know them too" Cameron rolled his eyes

"Every time they invite you to those things you never show. Now all of a sudden you go and you bring Ellie without me? I should kill you for that!" I said pissed

"She was sad about you. I thought she could use some friends so I brought her there. I wasn't intending to upstage you Miles. You can't lock her in here and expect her to be happy." Cameron said

I stepped around my desk and in his face.
"This is the last time I'm going to say it to you and I want you to hear me clearly. The next time you tell me about what my girlfriend's needs are I'll gut you so badly you'll wish for death. Clear?" I said firmly

He nodded. I grabbed my guns and left out the door. I got in my car and leaned against the steering wheel. I closed my eyes and breathed slowly. I had to cool my anger. I don't know what was happening to me or why what Cameron said brought me to that place I try to avoid. I pulled out my phone to text Ellie.

Ellie Bellie: I love you. I'll see you later. Call me if you need anything.

I put my phone away and drove off back to my own personal hell.
