Veronica took in a deep breath as she faced the large doors which led to the entrance of the girls domitory, she was overjoyed a few weeks ago when she received an email of acceptance into her dream college, she has worked hard over the past years just so that she could be accepted into her dream college and she was proud to say that she made it.
it was 3:00pm when she arrived at her dorm, and she was delighted to find it quiet and empty for the time being
her flat consisted of three rooms, and she was given details on which room was hers,
she took in a sharp breath as she opened her room and found a room fit for a princess, it was a huge room, which was probably bigger than the appartment she rented ever since her mom died three years ago, things became difficult for her back then but she was so determined to keep pushing and overcoming many obstacles.
veronica spent her time settling in and familiarizing herself with her new room. An hour later, she heard commotions coming from the living room, so she decided to go check it out,
'it's probably my dorm mates', she thought, she exited her room and made her way into the living room, she was surprised when all the commotion suddenly came to a halt and she found a pair of different eyes staring at her.
There, on the couch sat a girl with blond hair and brown tanned skin with cute frekels on her cheeks, wearing an off shoulder purple dress, seated on a guy's lap
she locked eyes with the guy who had a friendly and warm smile on his face, with dark brown eyes, curly hair and white pearly teeth, he looked like he was the same age as her but probably a bit older.
To her left, she found hazel eyes looking curiously at her, a girl wearing a blue dress, which totally looked designed, the girl had black hair cascading off her shoulder, long lashes and chubby cheeks which defined her features and made her look even more stunning.
lastly, to her right, she found a guy who looked irritated and bored to death leaning on the wall beside her.
He looked 6'2, with black hair, he wore a black plain t-shirt which showed off his features, defining muscles and Abbs all too well, he had ocean blue eyes and Veronica couldn't help but notice how some of his hair fell over his face, she suddenly realised that she'd been staring at him for way too long which she considered inappropriate and internally scolded herself.
"Hey, my name is Veronica Arthur." She said softly, finally breaking the extended silence.
The girl seated on the couch squealed and jumped off the guy's lap to come hug Veronica.
"Oh my Godness! I knew we were having a new dorm mate, but I didn't think she would be this pretty" The blond girl said in an overjoyed tone.
"Oh, where are my manners? My name is Grace James." She said
"And this is lilly, my best friend and dorm mate." She introduced while pointing towards the girl in blue dress.
"That's Enoch, my boyfriend." She pointed towards the guy whose lap she sat on
"And lastly, this is Austin." She said, pointing towards the guy who was leaning on the wall, and Veronica couldn't help but stare at him once again. There was just something about him....
She wanted to look away but she couldn't and when he locked eyes with her, her breathing hitched, and a foreign feeling passed through her but she quickly shook it off and looked away.
"Hey, I would have introduced myself, but Grace already did that." Hazel eyes said, and Veronica wondered why she wasn't named Hazel instead cause her eyes were truly beautiful and mesmerising.
"Welcome to our school." Enoch said with a curt nod, and it warmed Veronica's heart that these strangers were being so nice towards her.
Everyone stared at Austin, expecting him to say something, but he didn't utter a word and Veronica was starting to wonder if he lost his voice or if he was just shy but from the looks of things he didn't look like the introverted type of guy.
"Don't be bothered by Austin's cold behaviour. He's naturally an ass," Enoch said
"It's okay," Veronica replied.
Everything about the school looked organised, but Veronica had a strange errie feeling about the people who were in her presence, or maybe she was just thinking way too deep
She tends to do that at times.
"Welcome to Drexel Academy." Austin finally said, and Veronica looked at him in shock
'GOD, that voice!' She thought
His voice was like no other, and it did weird things to her.
'Get yourself together Veronica 'she internally scolded herself.
She was finally in Drexel Academy, one of the best universities in her country, and she had a feeling that she was about to start a whole new journey or more like she had started.
If only she was able to sense it.
