For the first time in days, I woke up feeling refreshed and rested, My back wasn't sore as usual, and I didn't feel mud sticking to my skin as I stretched my body. It took me a moment to realise why I felt so good. I wasn't in the woods anymore I had an encounter with a stranger, and he probably brought me here.
I quickly stood up from the white fluffy bed, scared I'll stain it with my dirty figure, but in the process, I knocked over a vase that was on the bedside table.
A horrified gasp left my mouth as I looked at the horrible mess I had just created and due to fear of what might happen if anyone was to see the broken pieces on the floor I quickly crouched down on the floor and began picking up the broken parts.
A sharp pain stung through my arm as a pointed glass cut through my skin and coated its self with my blood, leaving crimson drops on the floor
I couldn't fully register the pain when the large door to the room was opened and in walked a woman who looked around her middle forties
"My lady! Are you okay?!" She asked in a panicked voice as fear plastered over her face
'Oh no, the vase must be very special and expensive if she looks like that,' I thought
Suddenly, my body started shaking in fear, I was allowed to stay here, and I've already created a mess!
"I'm so sorry." I said in a quivering voice.
"No, my lady! I should be the one apologising. You're probably hurting right now. Let me tend to that." She said as she reached for my hand and pulled me up to my feet.
Once I was standing, I noticed that two other women were in the room with their head lowered, and they were in uniforms like that of a maid.
"You both should clean up this mess while I tend to my lady." She said in a commanding tone, and in no time, they began cleaning the shattered glass
"Come on, my dear." She said to me as she led me to a bathroom that looked like that of which a royalty uses
The bathroom had all the essentials you'll ever find in a luxurious bathroom but what caught my attention was the jacuzzi that was situated at the middle of the bathroom, and it was filled to the bream with steaming hot water. My body yearned to take a dip inside the water as it has been days since I last took a bath.
"Let me undress you, my lady," She said
I wanted to argue with her and ask her a lot of questions, but right now, I was tired and didn't bother if this woman was about to bathe me.
Soon, I was inside the warm water as she began scrubbing my body while massaging herbs of different fragrances on it.
"Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier, My name is Daniana, and I'm the head maid."
"Who brought me here, Dianiana?" I asked in a soft voice.
"His Highness did, my lady." She said, and my forehead ceased in confussion
"His highness?" I asked
"Yes, his Highness brought you in yesterday night while you were asleep," She said, and I seemed to recall all the details of the previous night.
"He said he would like you to meet him later in his Chambers, I'll take you there when you're ready,"
"Thank you" was all I was able to say in return.
