(Third person's pov)
Prince Damien walked into the room where Bethy resigned. The doctors said they couldn't find out what made her bleed, but they advised her to get a lot of rest.
Upon entering the room, Damien saw bethy trying to stand up as she held onto the headboard.
"Hey, you're supposed to be resting." He said gently as he approached her.
"Oh please, I'm tired of staying in bed all day." Bethy said in an annoyed tone.
But suddenly she realised she was talking to the crown prince.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness. I didn't mean to sound rude." She said apologetically.
Damien chuckled lowly. He didn't want bethy to always be careful around him.
He loved the carefree girl he found in the woods, the one who didn't know who he was.
The girl who was herself.
"It's okay, bethy. I don't want you to be timid around me. Just be you." He said, his words susprised Bethy.
He was nice to her, too nice.
She stared into his pair of ocean blue eyes, and her heart skipped a beat.
He stared right back at her, and they shared unsaid emotions through their gaze.
It was like bethy was being pulled towards him.
And she didn't want to fight the pull.
Before she did anything considered unelegant, she averted her gaze and cleared her throat as a light shade of red tinted her cheeks.
"So bethy, how are you feeling now? Better, I hope." He questioned, and bethy melted at how nice he was.
So caring, so gentle.
How could a man so strong be so soft all at once she wondered in a trance.
"I'm feeling so much better, Your Highness." She replied.
"Damien." He said.
"Huh?" She questioned, sounding confused.
"Just Damien, call me Damien, not your Highness." He said
Her eyes widened at his words as she dropped her gaze to the floor.
"I could do no such thing, your highness." She said.
"You would because I command it, when it's just the two of us, you call me Damien, understood?"
He asked.
This felt intimate for bethy, too intimate. Nonetheless, she replied with a nod and said.
"Yes, Damien."
Damien was in a trance the moment she uttered his name.
How could his name sound so sweet and dangerous on her lips.
He didn't know why, but he felt the need to hear her utter his name again, so he took gentle strides towards her and said.
"Say that again, say my name bethy."
"Damien. " She uttered as she looked away, her cheeks burning bright red at this point.
"That's right, to you I'm Damien, to the word I'm crowned Prince." He said.
His forehead suddenly ceased in confusion as he recalled the strange turn of events.
"Bethy, what happened earlier..." He started but was cut off by bethy as she said.
"I don't know what happened either, Damien, and I really don't want to talk about it right now."
"Please." She said, begging him with her doe eyes to not question her.
