"Wattpad Featured Author presents: 'One of Us Will Die (Who's Next?)'
In this gripping mystery/thriller novel, Damien and Bethy's love story transcends time, fueled by faith and bound together by fate. But their destiny is entwined in a sinister gam...
"Someone tell me what the heck happened today!!" Max asked, looking confused and lost.
The school held an emergency assembly to address what happened today, and no one was able to comprehend what Milo was thinking when he acted based on violence and ended up killing himself.
The image of the dead bodies was still picture clear in my head.
Mandy hasn't been herself ever since. It was pretty understandable considering the fact that her only brother ended his life today.
She's been crying all day, and Max has been the one taking care of her,
Her parents were informed of what transpired, and Lily said they'll be coming to the school in two days' time, although they're worried sick and want to fly here as soon as they can.
Milo's death has left all his friends in great shock, and currently, we were at a hidden part of camp, which was near the boys' dormitory but hidden from outsiders' eyes.
"It's the game." Mandy suddenly said.
"That's not possible." Grace said while shrugging it off like it was the most absurd thing that could ever happen.
"It is!" Mandy said as she started pacing around.
"Don't you all see!, Enoch dared Milo to do some crazy shit and when Milo said he couldn't, he ended up dying." She said in a hurried tone.
"You said he would die yesterday Grace, how did you know that?" Elijah questioned with furrowed brows, and suddenly, all the attention was back on Grace.
"I...i don't know. I-i don't even know why I said that." Grace said in a quivering tone as sweat glided down her skin.
"Bloody liar, you knew he was going to die! Yet you did nothing to stop it!" Mandy said as she lunched towards Grace. She reached out to grab Grace's hair but was stopped by Rose.
"Get a hold of yourself Mandy, I know things are hard for you, but it's hard for us all, we also lost Milo, he was our friend and you know he was close to Grace, so I advise you control yourself before you make any rash decisions!" Rose said, and Mandy seemed to get a hold of herself as she retreated back and went to Max.
"I'm so sorry Mandy, I swear i can't remember why I said what I said, or how I was even able to come up with such a game, I really don't know how it happened." Grace said as tears threatened to cascade down her cheeks
"You don't know how, but you told us about the game, you also don't know why you said what you said, but everything you did say happened so that means..., if you're telling the truth which I believe you are, then there is only one explanation to why this is happening....." Lily said
"You're being controlled, and we've somehow started a game that we might as well not know how to end." Rose completed
"I'm still finding it hard to believe that everything that's happening is real." Max said as he ruffled his hair in distress.
"I say we all go back to our dorms and meet again once everyone is in their right sense." Austin finally spoke for the first time that night.
We all nodded in agreement as we went our separate ways.
One thing's for sure.
If we are somehow stuck in a game where we end up dying, then I don't want to be a part of it.
I don't think anyone wants to.
