~The Enchanted Forest (Past)~

Hook followed me as we trudged our way through the forest. The forest was damp, and the ground was all muddy, seeing as it had just rained. The moon lit up the sky but wasn't much help to us walking through the forest. Luckily, I knew exactly where I was going. I had done this many times while I still lived in the castle.

"Are you sure you know where you're going? I feel like we've been walking for ages." Hook complained every few minutes.

"Oh please, you're just annoyed because you're not the one in charge." I replied. Hook grabbed my hand and pulled me into him. Our chests touching. My heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest.

"I'm always in charge, love." He grinned. "That's how you like it." I felt my face heat up and I bit my lip. His lips were so close to mine. I could feel his breath. Our noses touched and my eyes shut, as I waited for his lips to touch mine. They never came. He pulled back and I almost whined, but I didn't want him to see me give in.

"You're a damn tease. I can play the exact same game." I winked then started walking again. I could feel Hook watching me as I walked away. Then I heard his footsteps, knowing he was catching up to me.

"How exactly will this play out? I mean, I've only got one hand and a Hook. If I remember correctly, you wanted to stop using magic. Walking into the castle, I'm sure you will need it." I smirked.

"Ahhh, but we're not walking in the castle. We're walking under the castle." Hook didn't say anything else after that. Soon enough, we made it to the small clearing. The ground was flat, and the grass was wet. A few big rocks were laid about the ground. Leaves littered the ground. Vines and ropes hung from the trees. It looked almost like a rain forest.

"This is it? Are we supposed to dig our way in?" I shook my head and chuckled at his comment.

"Not everything is as it seems. Sometimes you need to take a step back and look at the sky." Hook narrowed his eyes. Then, he looked up, seeing all the vines wrapped around the branches.

"I don't see it." I smiled.

"That's a good thing." I pointed to one long vine. It was thicker than all the rest. One end wrapped over one branch and went all the way to the ground. The other end wrapped around the tree. I walked over to the tree and unwrapped it. Then I pulled hard, like I was pulling a rope to lift a sail in the strong wind. A grassy platform rose up from the ground. Revealing a dirt staircase. I motioned for Hook to enter, and he hesitated, then obliged. I followed him. I swung the vine around the tree, which gave it enough grip from the tree to slowly drop back down, hiding the entrance. We carefully walked to the bottom and as we both stepped foot on the flat ground, torches lit up our path. Like a domino effect.

"Did you do all of this?" I nodded and gave a smile.

"I had a lot of downtime, especially at night. With my magic it was easy to create. I'm glad I did this."

"The Evil Queen never found it?" I thought for a moment.

"If she did, she never mentioned it. Seeing as it's still here, I'm going to take that as a no." We both started walking.

"Where does it lead?"

"The room I stayed in." I winked at him. "It was one of the ways she managed to convince me to help her. I told her I didn't want to be prisoner. Somehow, it worked itself out." Hook looked surprised. "It's more complicated than that. That's the easiest way to explain it." I changed the subject quickly.

"Are you actually excited about seeing my room?" He nodded, there was a small smile on his face.

"Of course, I've always wanted to see what your room looked like. I've thought about it many times." I blushed a little. It made me happy he thought about things like that. We kept walking for a while. It was one long tunnel that reached to the castle. No twists or turns, just straight. As we got closer, a solid white door came into view. There was gold trimming and gold swirls around the boarder. Hook went to grab the handle, but I yanked him back.
