~Storybrooke (Present)~
When I woke up, my head pounded. I felt awful. My head hurt, and I was nauseous. I rolled over and looked at the time. It was only about 9 o'clock. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, wondering how I ended up in bed. My hair was a mess and I wore the same clothes as yesterday. It was quiet in the house. I didn't hear anyone. I took some medicine and decided to hop in the shower.
I stayed in the shower for longer than I normally do. The hot water really helped my head and my back, which was really stiff this morning. Being in the shower just gave me time to think. I knew I was drinking last night, but I didn't realize I drank so much to not be able to remember anything. I think I should go talk to Archie about this problem. About how I've been feeling lately.
I got out of the shower and changed into some black skinny jeans, a dark red tank top, and my white leather jacket. I used to wear my black one, but it doesn't seem to suit me anymore. At least not when Hook isn't by my side. I made my way downstairs.
"Hey there, sleepy head." David greeted. He's always a bit too chipper in the morning.
"What happened last night? The last thing I remember is being at the docs."
"Nothing exciting. We found you passed out on one of the benches. With an empty bottle of rum." I chuckled.
"The life of a pirate is always interesting." I grabbed my black combat boots when Emma came barging through the door.
"Guys, I've got bad news. Archie's dead." We all stopped what we were doing.
"What?!" David said quickly. "Are you sure?" She nodded, and I stood up.
"How? Were there any witnesses?" I asked, trying to get more information.
"One person saw Regina go to see him last night. We're pretty sure no one else was with him." I couldn't begin to think why my mother would kill him.
"Pretty sure? Or 100 percent sure? I'm not trying to defend my mother, but if it's by word of mouth, there's a lot of people that would accuse her."
"That's a good point, Phoenix. How about we go to Granny's and talk to Mary Margaret and we'll go from there." Emma looked shaken up.
"What am I gonna tell Henry?" None of us had an answer.
"And I was thinking about going to see Archie again today." They shot me a glare. "Sorry, trying to lighten the mood somehow. Henry is going to be hurt no matter what. It's best to just rip it off like a band-aid."
"Phoenix. You're not helping." David snapped. I groaned.
"I mean, like, don't delay telling him. That'll only make it worse." She nodded, and we all made our way to the diner. There was a gloom feeling in the air. Everyone already knows. Snow sat in one of the booths, and we all joined her at the table. Ruby came over and asked us if we wanted anything to eat. They all got coffee, and I opted for a burger, seeing as I was getting hungry.
"Let's start with what we know." David started. "You said someone saw Regina go into the office. Who was it?"
"Ruby. She was closing the store and saw her. Then this morning, Pongo ran across the street, and that's when they called me." My food arrived, but before I ate, I had a thought.
"We should look at the security tapes. One of them should have caught something. Lots of people hate Regina. Ruby could be lying. That's a possibility." Emma shook her head.
"I don't think so. I'm pretty good at knowing when someone is lying. She just seemed broken." I felt like Emma didn't want to believe me. That Regina didn't do it. She might loath everyone, but Archie didn't do a single thing to her. This time, she had absolutely no reason.
