~~The Enchanted Forest (Past)~~
Hook and me stumbled back into the same pub about an hour later. Exactly when we said. I felt way more calm and collected now that I had him. We went to our same table where Blackbeard and the crew sat, drinking. We sat down and they all looked at us.
"You guys reek." Blackbeard said in annoyance. I couldn't help but let out a tiny laugh, my face going red in the process.
"So, what did your friend say? Anything that'll help us?" Hook asked.
"Yes. You know how when a knew Dark One is made, they are revived at the same place every time." We both nodded. "That's same thing with the medallion. It went back to the place it was created. I'm guessing that's where Riker is."
"So, it was a necklace that wasn't just bought in a shop or found somewhere. It was intentionally created. Which means there's more magic in it than we know." I started to grow concerned.
"I don't like the sound of this. Where is this place?" Hook asked.
"It's hidden to the naked eye, but someone with magic could perform a spell to make your eye...not naked." He said in an unsure way. "That's what he told me word for word." I wanted to laugh as I knew what it meant, but it was a funny way of phrasing it.
"I just need to reveal what's hidden. Do we have a destination?"
"Aye. There's a landmark a few hours away. A waterfall specifically. He said the waterfall is the biggest cover. Whatever that means." Blackbeard sipped from his drink.
"Can't be too easy for us." I mumbled. "Then let's go." I stood up, but Hook pulled me back down.
"Hold on. We don't know what we're walking in to. If Riker and the followers of whitebeard disappeared, they all might have gone there too. We could be walking into some bloodshed." I didn't think about that.
"So, we take half the crew with us then? I don't know if that'll be enough, some have to stay back and watch the ship too." Just then, two more pirates walked up to us and greeted Blackbeard.
"Gents. This is Simmons. He goes by Reaper." He was as tall as Blackbeard. No facial hair, dark brown eyes, tan skin, muscular build and his face looked tough as rocks. He made me feel like I should sleep with one eye open. "And Hendrick. Also know as 'the cold' because he's always cold." He didn't stand as tall as them, but looked just as strong. He has dirty blonde hair, a thick brown beard that grew past his chin. His eyes were brown and he had a tattoo of name on his neck. Asher.
"Nice to meet you guys." They gave courteous handshakes, but didn't say anything.
"They will accompany us. They have history with Whitebeard's men and will gladly kill them all." He said that as if it's a normal thing they do. Which is most likely true. Simmons was the first to say anything and it was to me.
"You're the one that scared the shit out of the woman earlier, right?" His voice was deep, which I expected. "Good work to you. The women here can't take no for an answer. She deserved it anyway, stole from my buddy a few days ago." I grinned.
"Small town. Karma sucks." We all exchanged some laughter then started making our way towards the doors to leave the pub. Hook stayed by my side and I saw us going towards the forest. "Why can't we just walk down a dirt road? Why does it have to be a forest." I mumbled to myself.
"Have you forgotten where we are, love?" Hook asked sarcastically.
The hours felt like they were dragging. No one really talked. Hook and me occasionally shared a couple of kisses and small conversations, but that was it. The sun hadn't risen yet, so we were blindly following Blackbeard. To our demise? There's no telling, but he seemed to know where to go. The other crew members stayed a bit behind to keep an eye for anything unusual. It was a forest, so I don't know what wouldn't be unusual.
