Sehki Shakuheld flew through the portal, carefully making sure the Starlight resonated with his emotions to bring him back. His brother Flint was all he could think about. The trauma, pain, bullying, training, endurance, pitfalls, triumphs, heartbreaks was all leading to this.

Ignorant of a sound behind him, he grew compelled to convert his shadow into wings, backstroking through the dimensional portal until reaching and flying through a white entrance.

He looked around, in the same neighborhood he grew up in, slapping himself.

"I'm home. Finally!"

He stared up at the apartment they lived in, repaired, but remodeled. He dashed in, discovering none of the neighbors were familiar, walking out in disappointment.

"Right it's been almost nine months. Maybe everyone left and moved on,"

He was about to head to the nearby park, but stopped at the sight of a beautiful flower with bright red locks and tan skin in a comfortable spring jacket. The tears in both of their eyes as she dropped the symbol of friendship and death.

"Shemar?"

The voice, one he'd never forget, a voice of empathy, rekindled nostalgia in his veins as he rushed to the source.

"Valencia!"

"Wait. But, I hear, the fire, you," twisting her tongue. "You some impersonator?"

He took out his Earth phone, checking the vibrations and her messages finally coming true. He showed her the image of the two of them and Flint together. As she checked it, he had his hands wrapped around her body.

"It takes more than fire to put a demon down," feeling her arms accepting the truth, and her water flowing down his cheeks. "Missed you too."

"Why didn't you say anything?"

"Got taken to another world, all of them tried to kill me, and my phone's reception doesn't work over there. You didn't see the Google Docs?"

"Oh that," pulling back to see their phones. "Oh, I thought this was a Only/Fans script you were writing. All of that actually happened?"

"Yeah."

"So you're a prince? Your old friends tried to kill you? Your friend helped you fight a bunch of monsters? She let you get thrown off a cliff? You trained at a nightclub? Their parents tried to clone them? You invited a girl back to your dorm?"

"Well that's one way to summarize that," shaking his head.

"Now I know this is a fantasy world, you went out with three girls other than me," leading her to laugh as he pouted and sucked his teeth.

"Two," remorseful for losing Rilis. "I hope Rigal can find her."

"Still, teaming up with a guy who just got out of prison to fight a serial killer, having to win a magic race based on teamwork," staring at the wounds on his body. "Did you just get out of a fight before this?"

"Yeah, the princess' temper is a lot. But that's all true."

"Shemar, your life really is one stressful manga."

"Well at least some people make it worth it," giving a tender smile.

"But the night of the fire, I ran over. They said it started at your home. What happened that night?"

"Gerald found out I contacted CPS again and started a fire. I tried grabbing Flint and leaving the building, but the person who came into the fire didn't know I had a brother, and they didn't have enough magic to get me back. Well had. Is Flint? Gerald?"

"We don't know. The police and firefighters never found any of your bodies."

His head jerked up.

"Your neighbors heard you and Gerald screaming, but the firefighters put out the fire and didn't find any traces of your body. None of you were even burned alive."

"Then," trying to cope. "He's not dead? Then, he's missing. That can only mean...oh no."

"What?"

"The fire Gerald caused," rewatching the scene in his mind. "That fire spread way too strong to be natural. Someone else from Terra must've taken him, trying to find me!" He punched the wall with his closed fist.

"How did they go after you?"

"My powers were separated from me so they couldn't track me down. But Calypsa said that magic got released and someone. Whoever that person was probably trying to save me from them. And my stalker," figuring the pieces, "must've snatched Flint and Gerlad after I escaped!"

"So you're going back?"

"I have to...but I just got back here!" He took a deep breath.

"What are you doing here? Don't you have college?"

"Mid-winter break," pointing to a vigil near the park. "The cake for you and Flint were there," painfully laughing, "so I went to get these to replace it," picking up the black flowers.

"As cold and dark as my skin and heart."

She pressed his body against her arms. "You funny demon kiss," pulling him back away for a deep kiss that blew him back.

"But, your boyfriend?"

"It's your birthday gift nine months late. Though that girl looks like me, took your first kiss. You sounded like you were into her."

He stretched his mouth farther, chewing at his growing cheeks. "I just like human decency. She said she'd like to meet you one day."

"Well between her and that witch girl, you don't worry about being my second husband anymore," she teased. .

"Shush. Be with the person that makes you the most happy," wondering who was that currently. "But I don't want to leave my best friend."

A portal opened behind them before she could reply. The regal Void cracked the ground with his entrance, growling at the two of them.

"A Void? Those creatures that use the magic power they steal.

"Or a parasite that takes over the host's body," holding his arms back as his shadow burst above them, repelling the lunging beast.

"Last time I was here, I wasn't strong enough to protect anyone," recalling all his adventures, harassment, near death experiences, and battles with Ainsley, Taylor, Rigal, Xia, Calypsa, Delta, Candy, Lorena, Madam and her workers, Bodin, Sven, Professor Gorgon, Starz, Gako, Yessenia, Cluster, Crevan and everyone else.

"Val," contorting the shadow around his arm and punching the Void several feet away, completely wearing it around himself.

"I won't let anyone bully us around anymore. They want the smoke, I'll be the fire."
