"Why do you look so surprised," Sehki asked. "I'd expect no less from my rival."

"Shut it! I get enough expectations rammed down my throat from him already!"

"Oh. Sorry, I phrased that wrong. I'm just used to you always going beyond the stars trying to kill me."

The genuine response lowered the anger. "It's not easy when you're constantly being reminded you're replaceable. I've never been able to land a hit on him once whenever we trained. Delta and Scaldwave always said I took too much after him."

"Damn. Trust me, I'm used to a parent playing favorites," protecting his cheek.

"But your parents loved you."

"The other ones. It wasn't always like that, but some people that lose their spouse don't know how to handle it. That warmth for the legacy they made together will always be brighter than the outsider that never belonged."

Xia wasn't sure what to respond. He shook it off.

"But you pulled it off," as they looked up at her father going through the five stages of grief.

She smiled. "Nice. He won't doubt me as his successor anymore."

He let her bask in that glory as they descended to the ground. The other heirs barring Ainsley tackled her to the ground.

"You pulled it off!"

Rigal pushed Taylor off. "I would've done it much faster."

Calypsa covered Sehki's throat, healing his body with Hercule. "Need a throat release?"

Unsure if it's flirty or genuine, Sehki offered it, leading her to sprout a small amount of water in his mouth, helping him clear it up.

"Welcome," caressing it. "But the real battle's just begun."

Ainsley summoned a earth rainbow above them as Jun chuckle exploded into an expansion of power and laughter.

"You actually succeed. Maybe I was wrong to doubt you all, including you, daughter."

"Father!" A weight lifted off her shoulders.

Calypsa got a text, the contents alarming her.

"We have to head back to Celestial, now!"

Sehki also received a phone call from Lorena.

"Sehki, you all need to get back to Celestial. Cluster's here!"

Jun's eyebrow raised, summoning a monitor to broadcast the events of the college, spotting several Voids running amok on the campus grounds. Students were fighting Voidvoks, fleeing from Constains, and some were being turned into In:Voids.

The six of them all gazed at the person leading the charge.

"Cluster."

"Father, we kept our end of the deal. Let me free!"

"I suppose. Shakuheld, Castor, activate."

When the blue portal opened, Sehki jumped through when Calypsa jumped in behind him. The two of them arrived high above the clouds, landing on one of the buildings of Celestial University to a sight filled with chaos and conflict. Several of the students were fleeing and launching spells at an army of Voidvarks and Constains while others were begging to be freed from becoming In:Voids.

Worse, Cluster was floating above, staring at the chaos, as the professors he was familiar with confronted them.

His fists fought to fight the fear of a fae massacre.

"Guys we have to get in there," turning back to only find Calypsa, who was equally surprised. "Ain? Taylor? Rigal? Xia?"

She raised her eyelids. "Why did-"

"-You close the portal?! Celestial needs us right now!"

Jun shook his head at his daughter and her confused friends.

"You all expended too much energy challenging me. I will not allow you to risk your reputation a second time. Relax, replenish your magic energy, and sit back to watch the show," summoning chairs for them to sit on.

Ainsley's glare matched their analysis of the situation.

"If Celestial falls, the blame's going on Sehki, isn't it?"

The others turned to them with that shock while Jun dived down, summoning another monitor for them to watch the scenario from drones in the sky.

"He said you all would put an end to the threat of the Voids. But was he not the one who led you all here and waste your energy instead of protecting your school? You'll be allowed to go when he'll learn the price of arrogance."

"But the students and staff," as Bethany and Bodin festered in their mind.

"Should they fail to protect your subpar peers, it seems there needs to be new management involved," grinning.

Calypsa came to the same conclusion, angering Sehki.

"He knew we were trying to bait Cluster out! We should've just took Xia and ran!"

"He wouldn't have let that happen either way."

"Then he's the one working with Cluster. We're ending this, now!"

Against her concern, he leapt from the roof, charging straight at the mastermind. The latter's opponent's target noticed it as well.

"Good evening Shakuheld," snapping their fingers. "Knight, take Prince!"

The regal Void flew at Sehki when Calypsa tackled them away towards the forest.

She winked at him before focusing on fighting the Chameleon Void. "Lead!"

Professor Scald caught him with his steam while a ray of Cluster targeting him was blocked by Delta.

"We will die before you hurt our students!"

She also turned back to him. "I'll help them before the curse takes over. Go help the students!"

Though worried, he knew they were right, letting them throw him into the line of fire. He spread out his shadow, fire-fist dropping a Constain.

His body ached before he could deliver a follow up.

I'm out of magic? Pushed by the level one Voids, he rolled away from them, as his shadow held up the hands of a swinging Constain, when another showed up to crush him into the pavement.

Two elastic hands stretched and binding the beast from arms to neck, choking their necks as two familiar people from the sky shouted their respective bear StellArts, diving down to smash a cub shaped flail and destroy it.

They approached him.

"You're back!"

"Runnin' low on paper huh."

"I can't save the guy I dumped?"

"Candy. Cree. Lore!"

He clutched the founding Shadow Brawlers in his hands.
