Though it took some time for Candy, Lorena, and Cree to recover, Sehki continued to check up on them until they were all properly awake to explain everything.

After he gave them a hug so hard they had to remind him of their injuries.

"So our principal, professor, and one of our teammates were borderline terrorists except they were trying to undermine the leader and awaken your power to defeat him?"

"Yup."

"Seems convoluted, but at least we finally know Calypsa's deal."

"And Bodin and the others?"

"He's fine. It's all the professors I'm worried about."

Cree sulked. "I almost feel bad the heirs got arrested."

"That didn't seem like it was part of her plan, but Xia's father prevented them from going to make sure you lost. That might be enough evidence to incriminate him for a while."

"And if he was working with our principal, that means by accomplice, he knew about Gorgon's abuse of Ainsley, Taylor's corruption, Amarilis getting arrested, and the attack on campus ahead of time."

"So we defeated all the bad guys?"

"No," recalling Lumin's claims of his backstory. "The Astrovoids also have a benefactor. Yeah, he ran the school and acted as Cluster, but if Delta and Calypsa were lowkey trying to undermine him, Jun couldn't have been funding him alone."

It took Lorena three seconds to deduce a suspect.

"Rigal's father. Fenghuang relies on Shugoda's technology out of any of the major nations. What leader would intentionally let a serial killer run amok in the capital of the city if they weren't using that to find strong people to recruit?"

Candy shuddered at the thought The Herdsmen traumatizing her was all due to some crazy experiment, knowing full well she'd might have to face them again. Noticing this, Cree smiled at her, wanting to cheer his sister up.

"Look, the Planetary Presidents are gunna be brought in for questioning. Right now, we need to focus on resting before the next battle."

"He's right, we almost died defeating our psycho principal. When you're discharged, go home and rest for the three month break, y'all need it."

"Wait, where are you going to stay?"

Sehki had to think about it. "Uh, well Umbra's destroyed, I was gonna just head back to the dorm and live there."

Lorena would've crossed her arms at her ex had they not felt so stiff, stretching her head to face him, annoyed.

"With the dining halls being closed, living off the scraps we could afford in Erebus, all alone? Yeah, don't give me the 'you've done too much for me already speech', you're staying with us."

"And you could switch every week or month with our family," Candy pointed out. "My parents would love to meet you."

They were not gonna let him be unable to refuse a gift he didn't think he deserved until he gave in and said yes.

As he went to the bathroom, a large figure in thorny shrubs and clothing opened up the rooms with vines from leaf shaped wings, pumping energy through them before noticing his presence.

"Ainsley's father?"

"Heath Spica, to you, Shakuheld."

"Thank you for healing my classmates," seeing little facial change. "I assume President Dementer was also brought in for questioning?"

"Forgive me when numerous times you've hurt my s-"

"Offspring! The one you both decided their future wife and queen would be one that poisoned them, disrupted their circle, made a clone body of and threatened to murder despite their health issues?"

Heath struggled to retort back.

"Calypsa and my parents wanted to show you all the truth Luminite and Jun twisted. With your attitude, it's no wonder they brought all four families into question."
"My family's innocent!"

"Ainsley knew they messed up and took responsibility long before this. It's sad that the heir that's grown the most has short-sighted parents."

"Why do you care?"

"Because they're trying to save this world and focus on stopping the ones making us point fingers," about to head back into the room, disappointed.

"I've lost four parents. I just don't want Ainsley to lose theirs," unnerving Heath.

After some weeks of physical therapy and getting their belongings shipped by Terra Safety, Sehki and the Uyocron siblings found themselves at the same store he accidentally destroyed.

"Well, at least it helped you all get the store back," following after them where their parents, Axel and Tuhin couldn't contain the excitement of their kids returning home together after Cree's incarceration.

"I've missed you too. Just had some unfinished business to attend too."

They greeted Sehki, who immediately apologized for getting their kids involved in his personal problems, though they welcomed him with open arms.

"We'd never expected Candy and Cree to participate in the Mightatholon Tournament together."

"They streamed you all working so hard against that Void Invasion. All we did was pray to the Legendary Spirits to keep you all alive."

Sehki took the fifth wheel seat, watching Cree get accustomed to his third incomplete living situation in a row, which parent they got their Indus and Ursa line for as their mom created an ice sculpture shaped like them while their dad carved it with his own powerset.

Offering to sleep on their couch after helping them to move in, the reflection of both parents being able to reunite with their two kids would've lit up his heart.

The delusion of Shonda and Gerald nudging him and Flint continued to make his eyes rain. He reached out to the sky: a year of fighting, and he still couldn't find his brother, dropping it to cover his mouth so the Uyocrons wouldn't hear him.

Candy found him sleeping with the wet marks still visible, thinking back to when they formerly met, dubbing her his adoptive, honorary sister.

"You helped bring my family back together. I promise I'll do the same for you," resolving to get stronger for the next semester.
