Shocked by this new found strength, Sehki and Tenshia swam through the Antila spell with every step, refusing to back down.

"That's the thing with you kids! You start off believing you have the power to change and fix the world but all you're doing is fighting a game of life you'll never win!"
"Never? Is that what life is about to you?"

"What about all the lives you saved and fought for. Did they mean nothing to you?"

"Did you abandon the torch you had when you decided to fight?"

"Win or lose, we've endured suffering and loss to get this far!"

"My flames have all but withered! There's nothing left but a void in our hearts!"

"If only your embers remain, we'll take on your torch and carry it through daylight and darkness!"

As they reached for the cane, the other eight used their own spells to block the Carina's control with Rigal forming the same number of Eagusts to drill into her arms, breaking her control long enough for them to blow her aside.

"Now!"

Sehki and Tenshia swung through the weakened spell to smack the cane cannon out of his hands.

Him and Rigal joined fingers, creating a giant funnel to trap the ten corrupted veterans, and light it up with Wali circling his tongue to enhance the heat and speed.

Too tense to try and fight back, Sehki turned his shadow into a claw the size of the tornado and ripped out the essence of all ten former soldiers in one go, reverting them back to normal, though in need of medical attention.

He helped up the latter with the cane.

"You all believe you can save the world?"

"We're your legacy, so we're fighting for you home."

Rigal lifted the others up with his magic. "You all were the real alphas before we were even born. If my wind can supply what's left of your fire, I'll right Shugoda's wrongs."

"So this is the next generation: Prince Rigal, and-"

"Sehki Shakuheld. What's your name?"

"Lanico Caille."

"Your magic once saved my life. And you're the strongest user I've ever met. Keep watching over us, alright?"

The stretcher came to get the veterans.

"I don't gamble anymore, but I'll make a mental bet. Don't make me lose it."

Unable to get there in time, Candy found her bear gown dress spells getting nullified. Having switched back to her base Castillo's dress, She resorted to taking them with head on martial arts, despite it not being forte.

" A cute little baby like you gets to hide in university while we're the ones that are going to get drafted to fight a bunch of unstoppable monsters!"

She skated her way to the Skyport Hotspots, freezing the entrances behind her and going through every store, throwing clothes, hangers, food signs, toys, accessories, electronics and supplies around.

The Herdsmen StellArts group after her bust into the icy mist. Aware she was around, their chains thrashed, dismantled, and entangled everything they could, eventually ensnaring a certain figure with body shape, until they peered through the mist.

"A mannequin?"

They whipped several human shaped bodies falling towards them easily breaking apart into. Frustrated, they blew away the mist with a vicious whirl of their chains rivaling a vortex, only to find Candy with her hands together:

And an immeasurable amount of objects hovering about him, including the damaged rubble from their attacks. The group stepped back, bewildered.

"We can absorb all of your ice!"

She took a deep breath, building her confidence.

"You can absorb my spells, but not their environmental effects," making them realize she was manipulating several small rocks to hold up the mall inventory and the giant wreckage of the venue's terrace, swinging her hands down.

"Ursa Art: Hibernation Emergence!"

The older figures tried deflecting, and escaping her bear trap, but tripped from the melted water, unable to stop themselves from getting crushed into a rain of their prey's creation, while Candy took a bow at her victory until processing the destruction.

"Wait, do I have to clean this afterwards?" She pulled down the rubble to see they were alive, but their points were depleted, eliminating them, and an address with Switches in their pocket.

Lorena got her call from her, immediately getting Mechion and Akilah's orders to split the forces up in half, the others staying at the city while her half ended up in the slums with Rigal's coordinates.

They found nothing on the surface other than the personnel protecting the populace, convincing Ainsley to search the ground.

"Under the sewer system...there's something blocking, but it's reaching the base of the continent!"

With Mechion's permission, they dived through the sewer system, following Ainsley's instructions through several abandoned tunnels for what seemed eternity until coming across a giant laboratory, complete with insignias of the StellArts collected from the other countries.

"My father? What does he have to do with this?"

"Didn't Mechion tell you?"

"Long ago, probably before the Shakuheld Incident, Lumin and I were looking for recruits to our Horrorscopes, but my spies confirmed your father and Mechion had caught a whiff of those activities and we went to put an end to it."

Her hand shuddered.

"No...you're the one."

"Unfortunately your father fought back as hard as he could, but we also needed something to throw off the trail. Lucky removing your paramour's parents was also part of the agenda. And one was too eager to rid Cassie's brother off the board."
