Sarah rushed towards the group of Americans who were gathered to prepare for the meeting. She entered the venue discreetly, scanning the room for familiar faces with whom she could discuss the poisoning plan of the Filipino to the American officers.

As she made her way inside, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease about the situation outside. American and Filipino soldiers were stationed outside, surrounded by an air of tension and uncertainty. They were all watching and waiting, ready to react to any unexpected developments.

Once inside, the generals and officers from both sides took their positions and the meeting began. The discussions were intense and focused, with each side trying to put forth their arguments and concerns in a calm and collected manner. Despite the gravity of the situation, there was a sense of mutual respect and professionalism among the attendees.

As soon as General Armando and Tomas arrived at the meeting venue, they walked inside to join the rest of the officers at the table. Unbeknownst to Tomas, General Armando had a sinister plan to poison all the officers present in the room. As the meeting progressed, the general made sure to keep a close eye on the food preparations, waiting for the perfect moment to execute his plan. The food that was being prepared for the American officers was infused with a deadly poison that would take effect once it was consumed. The unsuspecting officers were completely unaware of the danger lurking on their plates.

As the tension between the two sides escalated, General Buns arrived on the scene accompanied by James Fulton. The latter appeared to have a sinister plan up his sleeve, as he was heard discussing his intention to sabotage the position of the Filipino officials during the meeting.

Meanwhile, Miguel and the other soldiers were stationed outside, keeping a watchful eye on the proceedings within.

As everyone settled down inside the meeting room, the officials from both sides cordially exchanged handshakes and took their seats. However, the atmosphere quickly turned charged as the discussion about peace began. Arguments were exchanged back and forth, with both sides standing firm on their respective stances.

The official emphasized the need for freedom in all aspects, including trade and external and internal decisions. However, some American troops at that time spread propaganda that they were there to help rebuild the country, while others opposed the idea of giving the Philippines independence.

One of the American officials, the governor-general, tried to convince the Filipinos that their goal was not to conquer them, but to help prevent other countries from doing so. The governor-general argued that the American troops were there to support the Philippines and ensure that the country would not fall into the hands of other nations. Despite this, there was still opposition to the idea of American troops leaving the Philippines.

As the meeting progressed, tensions started to rise among the officials. The discussion became particularly heated, with each side trying to make their point heard. Meanwhile, outside the area, Sarah stood watch, determined to stop the nefarious plan of poisoning the Americans.

Just then, a familiar figure caught the eye of Sarah. It was her father, whom she had not seen in a long time. Overcome with emotion, Sarah ran towards his father and hugged him tightly. Mr. Bellings, who was taken aback by the sudden embrace, was surprised to see Sarah again. It had been a while since they had last met ñ

"Sarah? Is that you? Thanks, god that you're safe! I've been looking for you for a long time. I thought you died. It's been a year," cried Mr. Bellings.

"It's a long story Father, but James is the one who planned everything, he was the one who tried to kill me, thank you and a Filipino couple took me in and took care of me," Sarah said weakly.

"James? I can't forgive him!" His father spoke angrily and threatened to go to James but Sarah stopped him.

"Father, listen to me first, you have something more important to know," Sarah said.

"What is that?" Mr. Bellings said.

"The Filipinos are planning to poison the Americans at this gathering. We must stop them!" Sarah said.

As soon as Sarah spoke up, his father's expression changed to one of surprise and disbelief. Despite this, Sarah remained firm on her decision to prioritize everyone's safety. In light of this, Mr. Bellings quickly made his way to the governor-general and whispered something to him. The officers from both sides were taken aback when they heard what he had to say.

"What do you mean, Filipinos? Do you intend to poison us? After we had agreed to the peace that you wanted, is this how you choose to repay us?" The language used by the American governor-general conveyed his shock and disbelief.

As soon as this revelation came to light, the situation became increasingly tense. Chaos ensued, and guns were pointed at each other. Panic and fear were palpable in the gathering as people screamed.

Because of this, trouble started in the meeting, which is why James did nothing but detonate the explosives he had prepared on the side of the Filipinos.

A loud explosion was heard in the entire area which startled the people. Even Miguel who was watching outside. He was very worried especially since his friend Tomas was inside.

Meanwhile, Sarah is very afraid because her father is also present inside.

Firing started in the whole area. The supposed to be a happy and peaceful meeting turned into a fierce war between the two sides. Many people died in the explosion, especially on the Filipino side.

Sarah immediately entered the area even though it was dangerous and there was a lot of smoke blocking her vision. He immediately looked for his father and found the dead bodies there. The witnesses almost discouraged her.

Later, she also saw his father who was still weak from the explosion.

"Father are you all right?" Sarah worries.

"I'm fine Sarah," he said.

He immediately led them but the Filipino soldiers shot them one by one.

"Sarah ran away! " his father shouted as he pushed Sarah.

"But father I can't leave you here" Sarah cried.

"Get out Sarah quickly!!" His father's last words before he was hit by guns from Filipino soldiers.

Sarah was very saddened by what happened. However, she stood up and ran out until he met another Filipino soldiers.

When they tried to shoot her, she heard gunfire from a distance. Suddenly two soldiers fell in front of her and she heard a familiar voice.

"Sarah," said Miguel.

"Miguel?" Sarah said in shock.
