E X T E N D E D S U M M A R Y

James Potter had very little to want for. He had parents that loved him, friends that would die for him, and a life that most people would kill for. It was very rare that he encountered a situation he didn't feel he could face with no hesitation. That is until he was forced to attend a Quidditch Camp that his best friend's recently estranged younger brother would be attending.

Regulus Black didn't mind his life all that much. Sure, his parents just had him to carry on their legacy, and his friends were mostly out of obligation but his life could be worse. And that couldn't have been proven to be more true when he arrived at Quidditch Camp and was forced to room with James Potter - the boy who stole his brother from his family and the boy he may or may not have had a crush on when he was younger.

The two clash, learning new things about themselves over their time at camp. But when reality hits, and they are both thrown back to Hogwarts, it's practically impossible to navigate their feelings when decisions about their life were already made for them.

note: this fic is so far off from canon in terms of characterization of characters that it may as well be au, please don't comment that characters wouldn't act in a certain way because they wouldn't! it's meant to be a more cutesy jegulus fic though it certainly deals with some "darker" themes - there will be angst and all that but i wrote this as a means of being able to write my other jegulus fic without putting too much fluff in the other

this fic is also meant to be more fast paced, which means shorter chapters but more chapters to keep everything organized and avoid too many time jumps within the chapters themselves, which may not be everyone's cup of tea
