|Watch Your Back|

I was extremely quiet at school. It was unusual for me, but following last night's events, I was speechless. There was nothing I could say other than how wonderful it felt to kiss Ace Cain. His lips felt soft and inviting. I was astounded by how tightly his hands gripped my waist. He was incredibly strong in the best ways possible. Don't get me started on how his entire body felt. It was divine.

Unfortunately, it was something that should never have happened. We should not have kissed each other like that. Losing myself in Ace was the worst thing I could do. He wouldn't be here for long and was still my teacher. If anyone found out about our shenanigans, we were both doomed. I don't want to know what my father would think. Surely, he would fire Ace immediately. There was more to it than that, however.

Looking at Ace while he taught, I couldn't help but wonder if he had as much fun as I did. After we stopped, my feet took off up to my room because it was so hot to kiss him. My breath was hard to catch, and I couldn't help but blush. But what if he disliked it? I could be his worst kiss ever and not realize it. I wish I dared to ask. However, rejection is significantly more painful.

With that in mind, I bolted out the moment the bell rang. It was always difficult to get away from him, but I did my best. Coping with what we did is much more difficult than one might expect.

It was just a stupid dare though. Ace saw me as nothing more than a client. Our relationship should have remained unchanged, but it didn't. Everything changed.

Tana, who caught up with me, had been worried all day. Normally, I would talk and joke with her, but today was very different. Leave it to her to notice, which meant I would have to tell her. If I didn't tell her, she would never let me forget it. Something about us being best friends, or whatever. Curse our loyalty.

She grabbed my arm and stopped me from walking. "What the hell is your issue today?" She asked me.

I rolled my eyes, not wanting to discuss it. "I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed," I claimed.

Tana knew right away that it wasn't true. "First and foremost, I know when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. It's not pretty," she had a point. "Secondly, you are panicking as if someone is chasing you. Is this about your mother?"

Sighing, there was no point in continuing the deception. If I didn't come clean, she would make a bigger deal out of it than necessary. Fortunately, no one paid us much attention as we walked slowly by. My words needed to be carefully chosen in case anyone else was listening. You never know who had prying ears.

"Well...last night Ace and I played a game," I said.

She chuckled. "What kind of game?" Of course, she'd asked that.

I pushed a strand of hair behind my ear getting more nervous. "The truth or dare kind." I bit my lip.

Tana wasn't picking up what I was saying at first. The subtle cues were lost on her as she continued to ponder. After a few seconds, her eyes widened as she looked at me for confirmation. It wasn't like this never happened to people when they played these games, but I didn't expect it to happen to me. Not with Ace. A little teasing here or there is one thing, but kissing is another. How does one even fathom what we did last night? You just don't.

Panicking, Tana slightly began to freak out not expecting this news. Try being me not expecting him to ask me that question. I thought we were in a nice friendly place, but that didn't look like the case. Despite our light flirting, Ace always felt like he wanted to just be my friend. Now that he was the one to initiate the action, my head was filled with confusion. If only my mom were here. I'd be able to ask her opinion on the matter. She'd be excited too since this is the first guy I ever showed interest in.
