|You Again|

I woke up from a peaceful sleep to the sun shining in my eyes. As I relived the memories in my mind, last night was crazy. Because of how amazing everything felt, that was the first thought that came to mind. That was perfect for the first time. Some people claim that your first attempt will not be enjoyable, but I am glad mine was. For that, I had Ace to thank.

As I rolled onto my side, I noticed traces of his smell on my shirt and looked down. I could not resist raising it to my nose because it was so powerful. I smiled as the memory of last night flooded back into my mind. It was such a blur but a good one at that. We were up late and very noisy. We did everything we could to keep quiet, but it felt almost impossible. After all the screaming, my voice was almost completely gone. It looked like tea was going to be the beverage of choice.

As soon as I realized what time it was, I sat up in my bed, dreading the thought of having to go to school. It was almost noon, and there was no way we would be preparing to head to that gloomy building. It will end in two hours anyhow, and since I did not miss many days, my grades should not be impacted. Until Tana was finally home, I would be unable to tell her what had happened. Simply put, this meant I could spend more time with Ace, which is my favorite part of every day.

I sauntered down the stairs to the kitchen, slippers slipped on my feet. The air was filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the brunch that Ace prepared. I stood at the doorway and looked over his naked torso, just like I would have any other day. He worked on washing a dish in the sink, tensing his back muscles. Ace was gorgeous, even from behind. I could stare at him all day without a care in the world. If he had not turned around, I was ready to do exactly that.

Ace turned his head instantly and stopped the water's flow after sensing a presence. His beaming expression told me he had a good time last night as well. Considering that he was usually in a good mood, this is the brightest I have ever seen his face look. Or, when he was with me, anyhow. I could understand why he was ecstatic today.

He rested his hands against the sink staring at me in his shirt. "Do you want a cup of coffee?" He inquired because that is typically what I would do.

I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms. "Would you please make tea?" I had a raspy voice.

He nodded his head and started to work rather quickly. We both slipped into this awkward silence while we wait for the kettle's water to boil. After what we had done, I was unsure of how to behave. The last time, following the kiss in the car, he advised against bringing it up in public. Whatever that meant, he just wanted to be Ace. Has he modified his position, or should we continue with the same procedures? I did not want to cross any lines, as much as I wanted to go over to him and shower him with affection.

Speaking of boundaries, last night I got so caught up that I neglected to do one thing. Though it was a very awkward moment to speak, it was better to address it now, while the opportunity remained. I felt like shit as I dropped my eyes to the floor, realizing how stupid I must have sounded. It was amazing how he could bear to look at me.

I bit my lower lip, afraid to speak, and kept my eyes on the wood floor. "Ace...I apologize for bringing up your father that evening," I said in a terrible voice. "Last night, I felt like a real ass because I did not get to apologize for saying anything about him." I raised my head to convey to him my sincere feelings. I was having a hard time expressing any emotion with my strained voice.

Ace approached me slowly and did not seem to mind. "Is that the reason you appear so tense?" He questioned.

"That and I am not sure how to behave after...you know," I said with a subtle grin. My voice falters as I asked for confirmation, "Can we be more open or..."
