Orion's in the car with his mother as they both sing along to Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, a song that they both claimed as theirs. Lucia decided that it would be a good idea to go to La Push and visit Billy and Jacob Black. Rye guesses that she misses talking to Billy and that maybe he and Jacob will start getting to know each other better.

His mother's hand moves to turn down the volume as the song comes to an end. "You're a senior now, Hijo, aren't you excited?" She waits for an answer with a bright smile.

"Yeah, I'm so excited to be one step closer to becoming an active member of society." He cheers sarcastically, his voice flat, as he stares at his mother.

She rolls her eyes at his words. "Very funny," she mutters, though a smile is plastered on her face.

"I'm sort of nervous. It's my last year of high school." He replies with his real answer, looking out the window and watching as they pass all the trees. If you had told Orion months ago how much his life would change since he arrived here, he wouldn't believe you.

He can feel the car start to slow down; they've arrived. "I say you enjoy it while you still can; before you know it, it'll all be just a memory," she tells him while ruffling his hair with her hand.

He laughs while swatting her hand away. She's right; he better make the most of it while he still can.

They both start to head out of the car, approaching the almost-cabin-looking house. Orion liked it, the color and all; it felt cozy.

Orion watches as his mom walks into the house without knocking, just announcing herself with a shout.

"Lucia!" Billy exclaims, wheeling himself towards them. Lucia and Billy greet each other with a hug.

As they pull away, Billy's attention shifts to Orion. "Hey, Rye," the older man says with a smile. He was the only adult other than his mother who would use that nickname for him, which he enjoyed.

"Hello, Billy," he greets, bending down to pull the man in for a side hug.

"Jacob and Nico are out back if you want to go hang out with them," Billy offers the boy.

Nico? Who the hell is Nico? Regardless of his confusion Orion accepts the offer, walking out the house toward the back. The anxiety of meeting someone new washes over him, but he quickly tries to shake it off as he hears voices coming from the shed he's approaching.

Nearing the shed doors, he decides to knock against them to let the boys know of his presence.

The two boys look up. "Orion?" quizzed Jacob. The tone of his voice was uncertain, and it almost wanted to make him run away right then and there.

"Hey, Jacob." He waves at the boy, turning his attention to the other boy, whom he presumes to be Nico.

He stands corrected when Jacob introduces him. "This is Nico Clearwater, son of Harry Clearwater."

Orion awkwardly shakes the boy's hand. He can't help but notice how Nico radiates confidence, but not in the sense that it's annoying.

He retracts his hands, pressing them into his back pockets. "What are you guys doing?" he asks, looking around the shed and observing.
