I'm right here

Taken again

"Jaime!" I cry curled up in a ball. Knight walks back in with two plates of food. "You need to eat, mating can take a lot of energy out of you." I am hungry but, Would if he put something in it? I can't trust anything he say or give me. "I didn't put anything in your food now eat." I take the food and start eating it felt like I haven't eaten in days. Knight tried multiple times to mark me but I continued to reject his mark which pissed him off more. I need to find a way out of here, the rope around my ankle looks like a normal rope but it's not. I forgot what Knight called it but apparently you can't just cut through it or burn it off. There's a flaw in his little system, I'm able to reach and untie the rope from the bottom part of the bed once I get that off I loosen the rope around my ankle and slip it off. I eat some of my food to keep my energy up and I leave the room to find Jaime but, where could he be? Oh right I can sniff him out and listen. I quietly walked down the hallway of the home. My ears twitch and move a bit from the sounds I'm picking up on and there is one that is sticking out to me the most. I go in the direction of the sound and I was able to pick up a scent, it's Jaime's, I know that scent anywhere. I really hope he's ok; my parents are going to kill is when we get back home. I hide behind a wall watching a man pass by before getting to a black door. I grab the handle and pull using all the strength I have; these doors are heavy! The door is open and go in looking at a bunch of empty cells and I came I across one, Jaime's. "Jaime!" I say happily. His arms are chained up on the wall and his head hangs he's cover in dirt and dry blood. "Jaime?" He looks up at me weakly. "Mi...amor..." his head drops down again. "I'm going to get you out I just need to find..." "the key." I freeze, my tail goes between my legs and my ears go back. "You betrayed me Astrid, you betrayed my trust, our kind! You are a purity dragon you should be mated with a strong mate that is capable of protecting you and that's me not a damn human!" I back away terrified tears fall down my face. "I-I don't want this, I never asked for any of this, I just want to go home and live a normal life and be happy with my mate. You're my big brother, don't you want to see me happy?" His eyes soften then he sighs. "Of course I want you to be happy. Dragons never dated outside of their race, never. Seeing you with him makes me feel a bit jealous knowing that he can make you happy. I should be the one to make you happy, to make you laugh, not him. He doesn't deserve you Astrid, I peaked into your cute little mind and saw that he hurt you badly."  I look away. "There's no telling if he will do it again. Please stay with me. Stay with your real family." He takes my hand kissing it, I back away shaking my head. "I- I can't." His face hardens by my words, his eyes become cold and emotionless. "Mi...amor...run." I can't leave him here with this crazy man. I run over to Jaime before Knight could catch me and free Jaime with my claws. "Jaime! Get up, get up please."I look at the scarab on his back. "khaji da, help him, please?" I tap at it a few times. Knight laughs coldly. "It doesn't work that way baby girl." Jaime stumbles trying to stand up on his feet; he stands in front of me stumbling a bit before getting kicked in the ribs. The kick sent him flying hitting the wall hard, I hear him yell out in pain. "Jaime!" I cry. Knight grabs my wrist. "Where the hell do you think you're going?" I try pulling away but I can't, I can't run. "Mom told you to protect me and make sure I was safe." He drags me out the room. "And that's exactly what I'm doing." I use my other hand to dig my nails into his arm. "No you're not! You're hurting me! If you actually loved and cared about me you wouldn't force yourself on me and you would let me be happy." He stops, our ears park at the same time when we hear shuffling. "You...you forced yourself...on her? You t-touched her?" He says panting. "She's my sister I can do whatever I want with her." He lifts his head up I have never seen him this angry before, his eyes are filled with so much hatred and something else I never seen before. His suit forms around him and in a blink of an eye Jaime takes out Knight. They fly outside in the field fighting each other away from the city. Alastor clears his throat standing next to me. "I should take you somewhere safe." I shake my head. "Would if they try to kill each other? I don't want them to kill each other." He takes my hand. "Everything will be ok, let's go." I follow him back inside where it's safe. "I'm making tea, want any? It will help distract you and it will calm your nerves." I nod feeling like I don't have a choice in the matter. "Yes, thank you. Knight really believes he's doing the right thing, huh." He hands me a cup and sit down. "Yes, he wants to fulfill your mother's last wish which was to protect you. Knight is truly a good guy with good intentions but, he kind of goes about it the wrong way." The tea is amazing! I sip more, Alastor watches me intently. "Do you- do you think..." everything is becoming cloudy. "Sorry Blake or should I call you Astrid?" Not again.
