Knight

I wake up in the middle of the night naked next to Jaime. I slowly get out of bed not wanting to wake him up and get dressed so I can use the restroom. I go downstairs after to get something to drink, I close the door and Jaime is standing there startling me. "Hey baby why are you up so late?" I set the bottle down. "I had a nightmare." He walks closer towards me. "You want to talk about it?" I shake my head. "No, I'm ok." He opens the bottle of water for me. "Come on let's get back in bed before we accidentally wake your parents up."

"I did it!" I cheer hugging Jaime. Today we are at the fair on our first date in a while. "Great job baby." I sip some of my drink, we walk through the fair hand in hand sharing cotton candy. "Are you having fun?" I nod as he kiss the top of my head. "I love you mi amor." I kiss his lips. "I love you too." He pulls me back in for another kiss his hands trail to my butt squeezing it and smacking it causing me to blush. "Not in front of people." He chuckles. "I need to use the restroom." He lets me go. "Ok baby I will be waiting for you from over there." He points where the light pole is glowing. "Ok." He takes my hand. "And remember, call me if something happens." I nod walking to the restroom. I run into a few guys and they smirk looking at me. "So-sorry." The dark haired guy chuckles. "No worry's baby, what's your name?" I point to the restroom. "I actually need to use the restroom please." He nods moving out my way. I go in and use the restroom, after washing my hands and coming out I don't spot Jaime so I text him. I look around to see if I can spot him anywhere but, I can't. He doesn't respond to my text so I call him and it goes straight to voicemail. Where is he? "Hey baby, you still haven't told me your name yet." I back away. "You must be a shy one, don't be I don't bite, much." Him and his friends laugh. I look away. "I need to find my boyfriend, I have a boyfriend." He hums looking at his friends. "We can help you find him, I think I saw him walk that way. It's ok, come on." I follow them. "Thank you for helping me." Hybrid man smiles. "It's no problem." We continue walking and I began to slow when I realize how far away we are getting from the crowd and how quiet it's getting I'm starting to feel uneasy. "Ma-maybe we should go back." I tell them. They stop walking. "Come on you can trust us." I slowly back away shaking my head. The guy frowns. In a deep cold voice he speaks. "Get her." I run screaming for Jaime. One of the guys grab my wrist holding tight. "Calm down girlie we're not going to hurt ya." The dark haired guy stalks towards me his tail is revealed. He's a dragon! "Calm down we just need to check something." The guy leans into me and sniff then scrunch up his nose. "Disgusting, you're mated to a human. Take that damn necklace off her." They take it off throwing it to the side revealing my form. He smiles. "We finally found you, Astrid." They release me and I back away. "No, no, no it's ok, we're not going to hurt you. Sorry if we came off a bit creepy we've been searching for you for decades and we finally found you. You don't remember me, do you?" I shake my head. "Of course you don't you were only a hatchling when we lost you. I'm your brother, Knight." Jaime lands in front of me. "Stay...away...from...her..." Jaime says out of breath. Knight laughs crossing his arms. "Alestar I thought I told you to keep him busy not wear him out to the point he will pass out." Jaime looks back at me. "Are you hurt? Did they hurt you?" I shake my head. "Now why would I hurt my little sister?" Jaime looks back at them shocked. "Little sister?" Knight nods. "My name is Knight by the way and you must be my sister's mate." Jaime shakes his hand but is pulled in by Knight. His eyes are glowing red then he pulls away. Jaime's face is pale. "Jaime?" He looks at me the color drained from his eyes as well as if he seen something extremely scary. "Why do you have to have the scariest family members on Earth." I giggle watching him pass out. Knight views my tail. "I thought so, I'm surprised no one came after you yet." I put my necklace back on. "Actually someone has but Jaime protected me. Will he be ok by the way?" We look at him. "Yea...maybe... Light carry him. We're taking the two of you somewhere safe so we can talk more." Knight picks me up and fly, his friends fly behind us. "It's so nice to hold you again baby." He holds me close. "Why did you choose a human to be your mate?" I look away. "I always thought I was human, I didn't know I was a dragon, but, even after I did find out it didn't change the fact that I was in love with Jaime. He treats me well." Knight growls baring his teeth. Did I say something wrong?

The flight was long and quiet but we finally made it to our destination...sort of. "Where are we?" He sets me down gently. "In the mountains in Japan" my eyes widen. "Japan! I can't be in Japan I have school tomorrow! What about my parents? They are going to be worried about me or worse!" Knight chuckles. "You will be fine, now, look at the view behind you." I do what he says and I'm amazed! Dragons are flying around the mountains, some are walking on a path talking to friends and family. It's a whole city of dragons!
