Purity

Jaime and Jon has been off planet for weeks now and I'm starting to worry, they were supposed to be back 4 weeks ago. Dad let the school know that Jon will be out for a while so the school has been giving me Jon's school work. Dad is also worried but knows that Jon can handle whatever comes his way. "Is this what it's like for you and your mother when they leave on missions like this?" I nod. "Pretty much." She sets my tail in her lap and wraps a thin brown leather string around my tail in a criss cross pattern. "There." I look behind me and smile slightly waving my tail back and forth a bit. "I like it, thank you!" Dad opens the door. "Hey girls I will be at the watchtower keeping an eye on things Lois is making you both dinner. I will be at the tower for a while, Blake don't forget you have training with beast boy and Doctor fate." I nod, tomorrow will be my first training session to get my dragon side under control and practicing more on my shifting, we are going to try to bring out my dragon. "Night dad." He kiss my forehead and pat my head. "Night." We continue talking then head downstairs when mom called us for dinner. "Are you going to bring Selene along to your training?" Mom asks. "Yea, she wants to learn how to fight and Dick agreed to train her." We're both training at Titans tower but we will be in different areas.

"Before we start on you bringing out your dragon we need to start with you staying in control, keeping your instincts in check. Take your necklace off." I taken my necklace off befit but it was only for short periods of time. "O-ok." He gives me a reassuring smile. "It's ok we got you if anything happens." I slowly take my necklace off allowing my form to appear. I find a place for my necklace on the table with magical writing on it. "How long can stay in that form without going berserk?" I shrug. Doctor fate grabs a thick book and set the heavy book on the table. "This book contains everything you need to know about your species study it as much as possible." So many pages. The first part of the training was self control, we sat outside smelling the air. I smelled everything I was able to separate the certain scents and focus on one and that one specifically was the smell of fresh blood from a freshly cut of pork. I growl baring my teeth, beastboy stands back a bit. "Self control, come on you can do it." My ears go back and I whimper. "It's ok you got this." I take a few deep breathes to focus myself and relax. "There you go, that's it." He smiles. "You're doing great. Your anger is also a trigger, you lose consciousness when angry and wake up to bodies on the ground. That's not good." He gets up. And smiles. "Ready for the next step?" I nod. "You won't get it down right away, it takes practice and discipline. Doctor fate creates a dome around me. "Next step is shifting, the dome is there to protect you and us it's nothing personal." I nod. "I understand." I focus on shifting I feel my bones crack under pressure surprisingly it doesn't hurt. My spine seems to expand and my tail grows longer and the color changes to white and gold, my body enlarges and my wings expand. Doctor dates eyes widen in shock. Did I do something wrong? "Purity." Fate says in awe. "Purity?" Beast boy repeats with a question. "A dragon born of pure white and gold. They are extremely rare and always in danger. We need to call Superman. Blake could be in danger, someone can hunt her down and take her heart." I view my white wings with gold tips. "A purity's heart holds is a cure all, it slows down aging and gives immortality. People can make a lot of money off her. She needs to transform back now, right now!" I go back to normal my tail is now pure white with gold stripes. It wasn't this pattern before why is it showing up now and my eyes are golden. "Put your necklace back on now!" I do what fate tells me to do.

After training and dad talking to fate about the situation dad began to watch over me closely and keeping an eye out for anything that could be a threat. "You can never take that necklace off unless you are in this house and Jaime can't know, you have to keep this a secret from him. I know it's going to be hard to keep this secret from him but, you have to." I look away tears brimming. "I can't do that, I can't, we tell each other everything, he will be upset, he will be mad at me forever!" Dad grabs my shoulders. "He won't, he won't hate you, he will understand why you have to keep this secret." He wipes my tears and kiss my forehead. "It will be hard, I know I've been in your position before with your mother. You can do it Blake, I know you can. Jaime and your brother will be home tomorrow night. You can't tell Selene either. The less people that know the safer you are." I take a deep breath and sigh. "Ok, I can do it, I can do this." Dad look behind us and Jon and Jaime stand there smiling. "We got back a little earlier than expected." Jaime rush past them and grabs me. "I missed you so much baby." He attacks my lips with his and moans he pulls me closer into him. I pull back blushing. "Not in front of my dad." I say blushing. Dad chuckles. "I will leave you two alone." Jon and dad leave my room. "So catch me up what happened while I was gone?" "Uhm..." I can't tell him.
