The carnival

"Jon keep your ears and eyes open your sister. Her inhaler and emergency inhaler is in her bag. You two have fun and stay out of trouble. Connor will be here soon with M'gann." Mom kiss my forehead then Jon's.

We get into the carnival after getting tickets. "You two made it!" Jon talks to the boys. "Awe this must be your little sister we all heard about!" A girl with black hair said. "Zatanna this is my little sister Blake." I wave shyly and quickly walk behind Jon. "Uhm... it takes her a while to warm up to people." I see Jaime walking over and I run over to him. "Hey mi amor!" He lets go. "Well almost everyone she took a liking to Jaime a lot." Jaime and I leave the group to ride rides. "Be careful!" I wave to Jon. "How is your day so far?" I smile. "It's ok, what about you?" We get in line for snacks. "It's the same per usual saving the day and what not." I find my money in my pocket when Jaime stops me. "I got it, what do you want?" I point at the cotton candy machine nervously. "Ok." Next was our turn. He ordered me cotton candy and he ordered himself an ice cream cone. "You wanna taste?" I blush nodding. I lean in with tongue out and lick it. I smile at the flavor. Offer him a taste of my cotton candy he takes a small bite. Im surprised Connor isn't here yet to scold me for being here with you without supervision." "He will be here in a bit." We sit on the bench enjoying our treats, I sit closer to him and pull a piece of cotton candy off to feed him. "I seen this in a movie once and I always wanted to try it." I tell him with a slight blush. He smiles allowing me to feed him. I continue to feed him giggling until we both ate all of it including his ice cream. "Alright, ready to ride some rides?" I nod grabbing his hand. "Me too." I blush when he continues to stare at me. "Is there something on my face?" He shakes. "No, you're just beautiful." My cheeks feel like they turned redder than before. I bury my face in his arm and he chuckles. "You're a shy one, aren't you?" He pats my head.

We get in line for the bumper cars. "Yo, Jaime!" A boy with dreads walk up to us with a smile. "Virgil, you made it!" I hide behind him. "Who is this? Is she your girlfriend?" He stands to the side. "This is Blake, and please saying that will get me thrown across metropolis. Blake is part of the Kent family. Jon's little sister." He smiles. "Damn it's too bad, that family is probably super protective over her especially Connor." He sighs. "You have no idea." We hand the man our ticket and so does Virgil. "Who is Virgil I ask quietly. "Static shock." The game begins. I lean against him laughing as we bump into other cars. We bump into Bart and Virgil. I never noticed Bart walking with him. "Hey you two love birds how's it going?" I bury my face in his arm. "Come on guys stop embarrassing her and stop trying to get me killed. Her brother is a super, did you forget?" They laugh driving off. "Sucks for you bro."

After bumper cars we ride a few rides together. "Tomorrow we should go to the beach. And hang, if your parents let you, oh my cousin invited me to a party if you want to go." I stop smiling. "Parties are nothing but trouble. That's what dad always says." He smiles. "I will make sure we stay together that way you don't get lost and no guy tries anything." I rub my arm feeling chilly. Jaime shrugs his jacket off and wrap it around me. "Thank you, I would have to ask my parents and Connor." Connor hangs a arm over Jaime shoulder. "Did I hear something about a party? You want to take my little niece to a party?" "You're choking me!" "Good cause I want you to remember this feeling whenever you think it's a great idea to invite her to parties." M'gann grabs his arm. "Connor, let them enjoy themselves look how happy she is. Blake, if you want to go to the party, you have our permission." Connor rolls his eyes. "Fine but, only if Jon goes." "Of course I will go." Jaime is startled by Jon popping up out of the blue. "You two seriously need to stop hanging around the bat family." I hold on to his arm giggling. "Hopefully dad says it's cool." Dad stands in front of us. "No, not on a school night, depends, what day is it?" Dad looks at my arm around his. "It's this weekend." I pull away, blushing." He smiles. "Perfect then yes she can go as long as Jon is there." I smile. Mom grabs dad hand. "You two have fun." I wave bye to mom. "I thought your parents left." They laugh. "Clark can't help but stay close by to keep an eye on his little girl." The sun begins to set. He leads me to the docks smiling. "Do you trust me?" I nod. His suit appears wrapping around him. I take his hand and he begins to fly, I grab on to him tight my eyes close shut and face burrows in his chest. "Mi amor it's ok. I'm not going to let you fall." I slowly look and look up at the sky in awe. I reach for the clouds and smile. "Your dad never take you on a flight?" My head begin to cough and it's hard to breath. "Blake?" I feel light headed. "This is why we never take her on flights. Give her to me." I'm held in my brothers arms, he lowers down to the ground gives me my inhaler. "Breathe in and out, slowly." I do what he says a few times and my breathing becomes normal. "You could of killed my sister Jaime!" I steady myself. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." "Well you should of asked!" He snaps. "Jon please, he said he was sorry, plus, I'm ok." Jaime looks at me worried. "I'm ok." I reassure him. He nods. "I still want to sit and hang for a bit." Connor cuts in. "No she's going home." I try to get say in but he cuts me off. "You're going home Blake. You need to rest." And thats exactly what happened.
