Legs weak and buckling slightly from under him as he stomped up the stairs to his house, sighing at last as he dusted his shows off on the mat, he walked in, placing them neatly on the shoe-rack (he had gotten a scolding from his wife when she caught them thrown at the front door) before he decided to head over to the couch.
Instead he saw a little girl in his place.
"What are you doing?" He huffed and placed his hands on her shoulders, she squealed and giggled, "Daddy!" She smiled and jumped into his arms, he smiled and kissed her cheek, sitting on the couch and sighing dramatically once he had."Where's mummy?" He smiled, "Mummy went to shower," She hummed, he nodded a little and jumped when he felt hands on his shoulders, "What are you doing?!" He heard behind him which made him chuckle.
"Mocking me again, Mrs. Elliott?" He smirked, she chuckled and sat beside him, "Hey handsome, how was work?" She smiled and cuddled close to his side, "Tiring, as usual," He chuckled and wiggled his toes a little, "Tooties!" She giggled, "My tooties hurt babe," He sighed dramatically, "Imagine being you?" She smiled, "Hard work," He chuckled making her giggle happily.
"I love you," She smiled softly, "I love you too sugar," He smiled softly, "Pour some sugar on me..." Their little one sang in her daddy's arms making them chuckle.
"Too young to know the meaning," Joe smiled, winking over at his wife who rolled her eyes with a smile.
"I love you little one..." Joe told his daughter, "I love you too, but did you know mummy fell over before and it was funny!" Their daughter giggled, her mother rolled her eyes while Joe chuckled.
"Oh really?" He smiled, "Mhm, mummy fell over nothing!" She giggled, Joe smiled and kissed her cheek, "Mine," His wife told him, "Yours, and hers," He smiled making her chuckle."Daddy's all mine! Go find someone else!" The little one whined making them laugh.
"Scuse me, you wouldn't be here if I didn't find him!" She smiled, "Too bad too sad, now he mine..." She hummed making them chuckle.
"I love you silly..." Joe smiled.
"I love you daddy... I love you mummy."
"We love you more baby..."
