Upon my awake I have made notice of my key shining like a diamond or glass piece; once sand, burned from its impurities and made new into a shape of the designers choosing. I immediately identify that it was the same servant who I spoke of the day before. As only he could do such a splendid job with something so hideously grimy, that the streets of the poorest neighborhood would look like sugared plums and pie in comparison. It is in my general opinion that such a tedious project should be rewarded for its excellence. Possibly a gold coin from my treasure trove of gold bricks may suffice for such quality. After all, service such as this does warrant beneficial treatment.
All in all, he has done a splendid job and immediately upon my accountant's arrival I specify, in detail, the amount that should be paid to such and such a person. Which seems to bring about a smile upon the accountant's visage to my great displeasure. It is not for any servant to smile at a time when it was not required of him or her to do so. It is good for such servants to keep within the boundaries of your own will or they may in their unscrupulous behavior act out of the ordinary and create a malicious atmosphere in which much undesired developments may occur. I have in the years that I have survived so far been a witness and seen such a happening to many rich owners in theater which has instructed me again and again to be wary of such kindness to these miserable wretches of mine.
So upon his lips reaching upwards towards his nose and his teeth baring white, I immediately tell the young man to discontinue such imbecilic actions within my direct vision or hard labor would result. It is quite clear that he understood my choice words as even before I had concluded, his smile, is as they say, turned upside down and he left the room downcast. A joyful time I may add. It would be much better to have servants who follow your every wish without joy, then to see them go off all willy-nilly and annoy me to no end. As that should not be seen upon any place of employment.
Imagine if a doctor with all his cunning and skill where to dance and sing upon getting the proper medicine and in doing so selected a cure that was in all actuality not a cure but proved deadly to his patient. This would not do. It is beneficial for the physician to be in complete control over all his emotions and faculty. The best control I believe is to be in a state of all seriousness. Even if seriousness was not a capable feeling at the time of a servant's occupation it is better for the servant; namely my accountant, to be saddened and focused on the tasks he must perform at hand than experience meaningless joy.
I have never heard of a worker who was miserable and could not work at his full potential. As a side note, it is not for you the reader to disagree with me seeing as how I, like I have said before, am in the position to care for and pay my servants as required where I do believe you do not. It would be most disagreeable for you, the reader, to believe that you would care for a servant any differently from my own choosing if you had required and owned the luxuries I do indulge in consistently. Do not in any way become the goody-two shoes that no one knows and loves and be real with yourselves. But even for a moment.
WHY WOULD YOU ACT ANY DIFFERENTLY?
It, I believe no matter what anyone tells me is inherent in us to put oneself over any other. If any man, woman, or creature is put in a position of authority he, she, or it, will at all times create the optimum lifestyle for oneself at the expense of another. If this were not so the world would be different, but as I see it this is a splendid place of survival of the few. The riches seem to favor us, or should I say the I of the human species more than any other. When have you heard of a man with wealth such as I helping any other then himself and possibly his own children? What good would it be other then to gain public support so the masses could, in their dim-witted and foolish perception of what is good buy goods or services rendered from the wealth driven man?
Think for a moment! Is this not what every man or woman who is wealthy upon careful thought motivated by? I for one have no need of any public support at the moment and it is not in my best interest, or so I do believe to be at any time, to care for the opinions of a lesser people and species. It is only my age that hinders me from acting to my full potential. Once this has passed, and this time will soon pass, I will be capable of carrying out such thoughts upon this business and upon this world.
Again, I must prepare myself for another day as it seems it may be a long one. At times I do not plan my day out and must, as some say, go with the flow. I do not like the feeling it bestows on me as I do like to have complete control over everything that surrounds me. Although I am not a god and know I am only human, as even when I do have my days planned out, it does not always go as premeditated. It pleases me when at least ninety percent of my day has a mark beside each individual event.
At times I do check and re-check my journal for confirmation of how well my week has gone. Only to see if my days and weeks are going as planned and to know what or who has hindered me from such an accomplishment. That being one hundred percent, total completion of my daily requirements. If a person within these walls or outside of them is the reason for my torment, it is in their best interest to remove themselves from my presence immediately and better yet from this town. It would be better yet for the said person to have never been born. It is not at all complicated for one like I to create a quality of living for the said person or persons that is most undesirable. I could tell you of many stories where this scenario has transpired and if you would like you could ask one of these men or women what had become of them.
And well, as far as I know, they do still breathe. The only trouble with this would be that they do breathe if you could say that, on the other side of the wall with the unmentionables and are not allowed to cross back over into this town. Even for something as simple as a drop of clean water. It may confuse you possibly if you have not paid any attention to my writings from the beginning to now as to how some are capable of work and others cannot cross the border or wall but again. We use markings on their bodies as I am sure you do remember although I doubt that your memory is as well endowed as mine. So it would not surprise me if your memory of something but a few moments before has already been lost to you.
And for any person or persons who have read this diary and so far understand and have kept up with everything I have written. I commend you and expect that your minds capacity is similar to my own. Similar but not at all the same. I would regret to inform you that it is nearly impossible to reach the level of intellect that I do so posses even on my worse day. Just for you the reader to have a quarter or more of my own intellect is truly a blessing and I do hope that in your limited state, you may acquire much like I have acquired although I do see it as impossible.
It is not for me to stay within the confines of this spectacular wall and space for the day. And I do mean this mansion I speak of. Its beauty is not and cannot be fathomed by any other, but even in its gorgeousness and wonder it is better currently to wander outside of its oceanic scenery. Never do I walk and I shall not today, but it is required at times that I do show myself within the small town with my beautiful chariot, as people may forget the riches bestowed on my person that they of course could never own. I may use one attraction with the dragon wheels that I have recently acquired as one of my show pieces. I do hope my parents do not delay in creating wheels with my imprint upon it. Or possibly just the initials upon their arrival. When they do arrive! Whenever that shall be!
