who are you?

15 8 11

you

I don't recognize you
maybe the mirror is foggy
obstructing my view

my view of you
someone I once knew
but what have you done?
I know I've been gone

but

somehow you grew
into something, someone
new
but I'm confused

I once didn't value
the beauty you offer
but now I see it's true--
I see you

and now, what can I do?
as I stand opposite
from your point of view
the glass you see through

I can no longer continue
for I see you outgrew
this wasteland I made for you

now you live in virtue
this space can't hold us two
and now my seconds are few

so I guess I will bid you adieu
