There was a pause from other side, Coups contemplating what really those words meant. But all of sudden, as if the older was possessed by some evil spirit, the curiousity inside his mind took the best over him, "And why is that?"

He silently chewed on his food, eyes focused on Mingyu for the slightest expression of disapproval. He wanted him to disapprove, to retreat from answering the question, so that Seungcheol have a reason why he doesn't want Mingyu to stick with him.

Though he was very self aware of the fact that he could say 'no' on Mingyu's face as a reply to his proposal but Mingyu indeed did not look like a person who would go back just because someone asked him to. Coups needed a reason to push Mingyu away, and if Mingyu now refuses to tell him the answer, he would conclude it as lack of trust and kick him out.

He expected Mingyu to not give an answer,  to scrunch his nose in disgust and think that Coups himself was like everyone else. That he also wanted to mock on Mingyu, like everyone else who had showed their will to know Mingyu's side of story. He was winning, he was sure of that.

But the taller then all of sudden caught him off-guard, "I wrote him a letter," Mingyu took a deep breath, as if those words were hard to be spoken, "He tore it off, in front of everyone."

Coups's eyes were widened, first because Mingyu answered him which he didn't expected to get at all. Second, the letter rumour was true. Mingyu had given Wonwoo a letter.

But he still tried not to let the curiousity of his mind to get into his tone of words. He was giving his best to act as nonchalant as he could, "What did you wrote in there?"

Mingyu chewed on his food this time, shrugging his shoulders as if he wasn't the one who was so emotional about his handwritten letter a moment ago, "Everything cheesy you can think of. One part of me is happy he tore it off." He cringed, "I wonder what I thought when I wrote those words. It was disgustingly dumb."

The words made Coups chuckle, "Indeed. Something very expected from you."

There was a full minute of silence on the table, no one said anything though Coups kept eyeing at Mingyu. He couldn't help but notice how Mingyu's face held no shine as it did a moment ago. He was more cheerful when Coups had turned him down than what he was at the moment. His chopsticks played with the food, sliding them left and right without much thought in his head.

Either there were no thoughts in his head, or his head was full with shits he couldn't say, Coups atleast was sure of that. Mingyu then all of sudden turned back, glancing at the man sitting in the corner who was focused on his food before looking ahead, mood worst than Seungcheol could even portray, "Guess, i am a shithead who likes to annoy everyone for his own wishes." He looked at Seungcheol, eyes shining but definitely not in good way, "I'll take my leave then. Sorry, i didn't realise i was bothering you too."

He stood up, grabbed on his plate and turned around to leave. He was probably going to find any new place to be, where Seungcheol will no more be afraid of being found by Mingyu, where he would not be just a laughing stock to Wonwoo, where no one will bat an eye on him.

"Sit." Seungcheol ordered, this time looking at Mingyu as if he said no, he had made up his mind to beat the shit outta him. Mingyu didn't argue but he also not did what he was told. When he batted his eyelashes against Coups's stares, the older sighed, "Did I said you can move?"

His voice was alarming, which made Mingyu gulp in sudden awkwardness. It wasn't the man Mingyu had chased this far, it was the S.coups, the Coups who had broken the first rule Mingyu had told him and was about to kill two people after the fifteen minutes of his arrival.

Scared was an understatement of what Mingyu felt at the moment. He sat immediately, not giving a second thought about what made Coups change his mind that he suddenly was okay with Mingyu's company. The older then asked again, voice much calmer than before, "What did really happened between you two?"

Mingyu blinked again, giving his thought about whether or not he should be disclosing something as his personal life to a stranger, but again, when he asked Coups to keep him in his shadows, he had stopped thinking of him as an stranger. He knew if not now, Coups will get to know about everything but by the wrong sources. He can't make sure what he hears will be true to what point.

He certainly did not wanted to be a laughing stock in Coups's eyes, so he decided to give it a try, to trust another man.

There was nothing that could go worst than what Jeon Wonwoo had done to him.

He sighed when he realised Coups's eyes did not waver from him at all. The older was determined, too much to Mingyu's liking, "What do you really want to know?"

"Everything." Coups stated calmly.

Mingyu looked at his face but he couldn't make up what really was the older thinking. There was nothing wrong with him, atleast it looked like there wasn't.

"When I first came here," Mingyu started, "Like more than a year ago, he was the first man I saw."

================================

Mingyu was stupified, he wasn't going to live here, especially not in place like this!

He looked over the guard who brought him to his cell, mainly to see if he was watching the same shit as he was doing. Infact, the guard did, but he was too unbothered to think about anything. It does not seem like the scene in front was anything special to him, at all.

But it was, to Mingyu. Atleast his roommate, on lower part of bunk bed, laying like a dead human wasn't really something normal to him at all. It wasn't the wide spread legs, cover covering half of his body while half on the floor or his mouth open that grossed him out, it was the fact that his room was mess, well messier than Mingyu's fortune.

There was a small table but was kept on middle of the room. He didn't know what was the purpose but the man had kept the steel jug on the ground, just beside the table but not on the table. The steel glass was floating somewhere on the floor and if Mingyu didn't knew best, he would have thought this man was drunkard or something.

Though there wasn't really much things in this room, but still, it looked like it wasn't cleaned from ages. Mingyu felt wary when he haven't even stepped more than one step inside the cell. He was regretting everything.

"Can't I just switch with someone else?"

The guard shook his head, his demeanor rigid, "No, this is assigned to you. The word 'assigned' means something here."

Mingyu scrunched his nose in disgust and shook his head in disapproval. This was bad, worst if he was being honest.
