"Have you seen a butterfly Jeonghan?"
At older's question, the younger just looked up at him, disbelief overflowing from his eyes, "Ofcourse I did. Everyone had seen butterfly Cheol."
"And what do you think about them?"
".....They are pretty, I guess?"
"Pretty right?" And when Jeonghan nodded at the remark, the older begun naturally, "Let's consider you just have seen a butterfly, a really beautiful one, and then there comes a third person, reciting about how ugly that butterfly looks, or how they have seen something better than this. What will you do then?"
"What do you mean what I'll do?" Jeonghan's brows were frowned, "It's their opinion. They can die with it, I don't care. I like it so I like it."
"That's great." Seungcheol giggled, "But what about the butterfly? What if she thinks she is almost same as those other insects that feed on the flower? What if she never knew her wings were not that colourless. That she wasn't that simple?"
"What do you want to say Cheol-"
Seungcheol leaned in, kissing Jeonghan's forehead and freezing him for solid few seconds, "I meant to say, in lifetime of an butterfly, she never gets to see her wings, the most beautiful part of her. She never gets to know how many out there are so envious of her, she never gets to know how many eyes are perking up just by her sight. She never gets to know it, because she can't see it, because she doesn't know how colourful those wings of her are, because maybe she keep looking at other's wings and keep thinking her's one is same like them, or maybe even worst. Who knows, she had never seen that side of her."
"You remind me of that butterfly Jeonghan. That little colourful thing, that is so gorgeously beautiful, one of the precious things that had walked on the earth, the person who can light up anyone's world by his single smile, the eyes that glitter like stars in sky. Look at yourself Jeonghan, look at your wings, see how beautiful they are in comparison to those other wings you are comparing yours from."
"You know what," Seungcheol was smiling, and ofcourse he would, the amusement on Jeonghan's face was worth breaking into a smile, "If you'll see the way I see you, you would have never ever thought of comparing yourself from anyone, not from any neighbour, not from Wonwoo, not from anyone. If I were you, so handsomely beautiful, I wouldn't even look up at someone like me. Like there is no one I want to keep close to myself if it's not you. I can spend hours looking at you, you are that gorgeous. Don't you remember how mad people went when you stepped just a single foot in prison? The hustle you brought there, it even made me wonder what the fuck i got myself into. How can you even forget all that?"
"Shut up." And the next second, the younger again punched his chest, but as always, his actions were fruitless or more like Jeonghan didn't even thought about putting any force in his fist.
His face was burning red when Seungcheol laughed at the remembrance of the past, hugging him as Jeonghan hid his face against his chest, refusing to look up, "You are a lier."
"What?" Seungcheol's hands went to caress his hair, smile never wavering from his lips, "You know I don't lie, right?"
"As if." Jeonghan deadpanned, face still heaten, "When I first came there, you didn't even look at me properly. Not only that, even after those days, you'd very rarely look at me. What was up with those looking away when I look at you huh? Your face would get more stiffen when you'd talk to me, like in starting, I firmly believed you were just putting up with me. And now you are coming around saying i was the most handsome man you had seen and stuff, who would believe that?"
"Like if I was that handsome, why did it took you a month to hold my hand without the excuse of protecting me?!"
Seungcheol laughed out loud, his embaressment hiding behind his giggles as Jeonghan again smacked his fist against his chest, annoyed, "You had your fill? Remember Choi Seungcheol, if I started laughing, you'll be the one sitting here and crying."
