Seungcheol never liked rain.
In all of the time Seungcheol spent out there, rain was what that disgusted him the most. Sitting in corner of a convience store, more than often, he used to find himself staring at the crowd of people who ran to cross the road as the droplets of water fell on their body, and even though they were soaking wet, the smile never left their lips.
What was so good about a weather which was anonymous, comes and goes as it pleases? Seungcheol couldn't understand. And if he leaves the weather part, what was so good about rain in general?
This was disgusting, disgusting and overhyped. People love rain because they saw it as romantic, somehow like a symbol of love.
But if it were to Seungcheol, all he saw rain as the feeling of loneliness. Stepping in rain always made him realise how alone it feels when you are being drenched in water and there is no one with an umbrella for you. There is no one who grabs your hands and tells you to fasten your pace. There no one who is waiting for you.
Ofcourse they all love rain. But what about the people who stay in that weather after a shitty day? What about the people who have no home to go? What about the people who have nothing to hide under?
Do they love rain? Do they have that stupid smile as they cross the road? Do they love getting drenched in water and wetting their feets for absolutely no reason?
All rain does is bring loneliness. It creates a longingness in hearts that can never be healed nor be fulfilled. Rain makes you crave for things that never existed and will never exist.
Seungcheol hated rain...
That was all until today.
"Mingyu?" The older called the taller out as he ran inside the house, hands tightly gripping on that of Jeonghan's own. As the human puppy appeared in front of them, he immediately added, "Can you bring some-"
"I already kept your clothes inside." The taller grinned again as he leaned against the wall, "Jeonghan Hyung can take a shower, or better, you both should take a shower! Together!"
"........"
"Alright, don't look at me like that." The taller knew it was his turn to take his leave, cause his excitement absolutely didn't match with the glare that Seungcheol threw in his direction, "That was just my personal opinion though. Take it or leave it. Advices are free anyways."
And the next second, he disappeared.
Like he never existed.
Seungcheol sighed at the mischief the younger showed, and when he turned back to look at Jeonghan, all he saw was the way the younger looked at the ground, almost like he was barely holding back his tears.
Jeonghan was on the verge of crying once again, and Seungcheol? He was sure if Jeonghan cried, this time, he'll cry as well. So when he raised his chin up, making Jeonghan look up at him, he carefully removed the hair stuck on his forehead, wiping off his face from his already wet sleeves, "Take a shower Han. You'll get sick if you'll stay like this."
"You are..." Jeonghan tugged on Seungcheol's shirt, bringing the older's attention to the fabric, "You are wet. You- you must be cold as well."
Seungcheol cupped his cheeks, a small smile flattering on his face, "It's alright."
"You'll get cold too."
"I won't." Seungcheol admitted as he pushed the younger towards the bathroom of his room, "But you will. Get a shower, you are all-"
"I am fine." Jeonghan was quick to retort, "You should take a shower first-"
"You know when I think about it," The taller peeked inside from the doorway, "If you both are going to be like this, just shower together already."
