When Mingyu came back, it was the next night at almost eight.

Standing in front of the door, the taller thought about all the possible scenarios that would happen if he kept his foot inside. His Hyungs weren't sleeping, ofcourse, this was too early to be at bed, they must be in their room right now, or maybe kitchen? Yes, they'll probably be there, so if Mingyu managed to get himself in and save his ass from being caught before he enters in his room, there was no scolding for the day.

As he grabbed the knob, the thought of sneaking inside made him gulp down his own saliva in fear. Ofcourse he was afraid, he had told them he'll be back before midnight, and he was there the next, not even day but night, so technically, he had spent a whole day out without anyone's knowledge.

If this was his parents house, they wouldn't even care.

They never did. If Mingyu didn't come back for a whole day, they never bothered with him, living their life as lovingly as they could, that all while their first child hadn't appeared for more than a day. It happened so often that Mingyu got habitual of being forgotten, and so when he stepped outside, he didn't bother with anything, or anyone.

But his Hyung was different. If he came to be himself, Mingyu knew his bones will be crushed in powder at his slight carelessness. He remembers the amount of time Seungcheol had warned him about his mindlessness and negligence towards himself, and this time, he will probably kill him.

He twisted the knob and pulled the door open, all while hoping that maybe they forgot about him as well. Maybe they won't care-

"Cheol."

The sight in front of Mingyu made him freeze, still on the ground.

There stood Jeonghan, right on front of him, as if he was waiting for his arrival all these while, and beside him stood Seungcheol, his arms crossed on his chest as he looked at taller with a smile.

A totally threatening and alarming one.

At Jeonghan's call of his name, Seungcheol hummed, eyes still focused on Mingyu while Jeonghan continued, "Master is finally back home, don't you think he needs some warm welcome?"

"Oh, he does." Seungcheol immediately agreed, his voice leased in fake pretendence of kidness all while hiding Mingyu's upcoming suffering behind it, "So what should we start with?"

Mingyu swore he felt goosebumps all over his body.

"I'll suggest master to come inside first," Jeonghan deadpanned, his sarcastic smile slowly fading into air, "So we can welcome him properly, right master?"

"I-I think I-I forgot something outside- Ahh! Hyung! It hurts!"

And that was it, the taller was pulled inside along with his ears, the one that Seungcheol twisted harshly enough for him to break in whimpers of pain, "Hyung, I am sorry, I won't do this again! Leave my ears please! It hurts!"

"Leave you so you can forget about it?!" It was Jeonghan who grabbed his other ears, and Mingyu was thankful that the intensity he twisted it with didn't match with that of Seungcheol's, "Do you even see the time?! Tell me honestly, do you or do you not know how to read the clock?!"

"I do..."

"And still you are almost twenty-four hours late!" And when Jeonghan twisted his ears this time, Mingyu swore he could see stars in the sky, "Is this how you are going to disappear everytime you leave this house?! Do you even have any sense of responsibility?!"

"From yesterday's midnight. We were waiting for you from then to now and here you are, after the passing of a full day, and- shut your mouth! I'll kick your ass back out if you tried to speak a single excuse against your actions!"
