...

The man had taken off his ebony hat, revealing his face and long light brown hair, his emerald eyes were in worry, and he had a refined nose bridge. He didn't look Japanese at all. Was he an American organization member, just like Vermouth...? Did the men in black think a non-speaking Japanese man would ease their doubts? That wouldn't work.

The man took a while to process what we had told him. He answered in butchered sentences;

"Ah...Yes...Yes...Kudo Shinichi...Here for our meeting..."

The crime-solving partners guessed he wasn't fluent in Japanese. Haibara still had doubts about the man but she answered eagerly in English:

"Sir we can talk in English with you instead."

Kudo had to admit she had a pretty accent when talking in English. Quite charming he'd say.

As he heard the woman with 'brown hair' talk in English to him, his eyes brightened. He felt relieved there wouldn't be a language barrier.

"Ah, you're British as well miss? It's quite the relief!"

Shinichi and Shiho both didn't sense anything bad in this young man. But they'd need to be on guard all the time, since who the hell knows what he could plan?

Shinichi then inserted himself into the conversation speaking fluent English but with an obvious Japanese accent;

"So shall we sit down to talk things out...?"

The foreigner nodded and Miyano whispered to Kudo in Japanese;

"What a cute accent do we have here?"

Her voice was soft but her teasing wasn't. Kudo reddened at the remark. She may not mean it but it felt honest. Was she flirting?!... He was overthinking again, was he...? Ran would have kicked him while stating he was being 'perverted' over a simple compliment.

"Ah, I would highly prefer to talk about the matter in a staff room I have reserved."

That was highly suspicious but on the other side, he would maybe share confidential information. Shinichi nodded and reassured his partner discreetly holding her hand.

The partners followed the man in ebony clothing to the staff room. Shinichi quickly analyzed the room as the man opened the door. Small room. Too small to hide anything. No object that could hide anything suspicious except the couches but it would be a bold move. there was a wooden table too but it didn't seem like it hid any trick.

The crime-solving couple sat down on one of the couches, not so far from each other.

The green-eyed foreigner sat down on the other couch in front of them. He put his ebony hat on the table as well.

"I think it's time I present myself. I am Oliver Eisher. I am a starting actor and I'm from Britain. I came to Japan to attend an event that could boost my popularity."

Haibara sank in thought for a while, as if trying to remember something;

"Oliver Eisher..."

She murmured.

And in one instant, she snapped her fingers and addressed the young British man;

"I think I've heard of you in one of my magazines! You played in the movie adaptation of 'Feeble Leaf'!"

He nodded;

"I have played there as the main character's best friend."

The British individuals both talked about Eisher's career and acting in general. Shinichi just learned today that Haibara was in a drama club when she was a kid. Explains how she managed to use the crying little girl facade perfectly when they first met.
