Welcome to the archive: Alright so I decided to make an extra piece to the Touya Todoroki as the Ashen One idea. The idea of his main weapon came to me as I watched a video on the Moonlight Greatsword and thought "Wow ain't that neat I wonder what would be the general reaction to it in the MHA world" so here we are.

"What can you tell us about the blade?" Detective Naomassa Tsukauchi asked one of the archeologists called in from a local museum to examine the weapon wielded by Touya Todoroki after his reappearance.
Naomassa believed if they could find where the sword could have originated they could find the villain who had Touya for nearly a decade. Endeavor had used his connections as the number two hero to get the best care for his son and had Touya taken to a mental hospital catered to holding problematic quirks.
Besides that Endeavor had spoken to the police department and asked, Naomassa wouldn't call it anything else, to find the villain that had given his son those delusions. The Chief had agreed and given Naomassa the reins to the investigation.
"Well sir I will be quite honest with you, I haven't a clue." The archeologist admitted with disappointment.
"What do you mean?" Naomassa asked.
"I mean I can't find anything! The sword itself is reminiscent of European greatswords but the weight makes it less than practical. I thought the runes engraved on the blade could be translated but every time I even look at them I get a headache."
"So you can't triangulate where it could've been made?"
"No, but I was able to carbonate it, and Detective, this sword is old."
"Old? It doesn't look that old."
"Yes well this blade must've been taken care of religiously as after carbon dating it," The archeologist moves over to a computer and pulls up an image of the greatsword in the tube, "We found that the blade is nearly a millennia old."
"What? But that doesn't make sense how could Touya have gotten a hold of it then?"
"That's what I'm wondering, and the report I read stated it cut through the villain cleanly, yes?"
"Yeah, it wasn't pretty."
"I'm sure it wasn't, seeing somebody cut in half is not an experience I wish to witness. Back on the sword though, If it can slice through all that muscle, bone and the clothes the villain was wearing Touya must be very strong without a strength quirk or the greatsword is sharper than appearances tell. I truly cannot think of a way Touya Todorok could've conceivably gotten the blade."
"What about the inconceivable?" Naomassa asked mildly curious as to the man's theories.
"Well, the first one is the villain that took the young man who had that sword with his family since it was created. The other and far more unbelievable one is that everything Touya Todoroki told investigators was true, which once again I highly doubt."
"Hm, so we don't have anything from the greatsword." It wasn't a question.
"No, unfortunately. However, I will be happy when this relic is released to the museum's custody."
With that, the archeologist walked away and left Naomassa alone. Naomoassa sighed and looked at the greatsword lying in a protective case, he stared at it hoping it could tell him what had happened to Touya but it didn't.
Naomassa looked away from it and walked out of the room. Never noticing the soft glow that began emanating from the sword as a mist swept the blade.
