Welcome to the archive: A cocnept I wanted to try out but decided against it since I'm still a noob of Type-Moon.

Kiritsugu stared at his hands, the pale skin contrasting what he knew himself to look like. Looking up into the bathroom mirror, Kiritsugu looked at the alien reflection staring back. The damaged pigment of his face replaced by pale, gaunt features of this new reflection. His hair once white now black as he remembered it once used to be.

Kiritsugu hesitantly touched his face, the unfamiliar reflection repeating the action. He exhaled shakily as he fought the growing headache to figure out what had happened.

To recap, he woke up staring at the night sky, a young child with red hair and bronze eyes next to him. Shirou...he recalled from his new memories.

Shirou seemed worried about him but Kiritsugu let his new instincts take hold and brushed off the concern with a gentle smile and a few words he'd gotten Shirou to go to sleep. Kiritsugu had stood outside the door of his son's room for a moment before walking to the bathroom.

And thats how he found himself staring at the reflection.

Kiritsugu could feel his circuits, or what was left of them. Many of them had been broken down by the curse of Angra Mainyu and left him, the other him, in a state of atrophy. Kiritsugu looked at his arm before clenching his fist and concentrating.

The remaining circuits flared, his skin lining with them as a few were blackened by the curse. Kiritsugu ignored the pain coming from the forceful activation of his circuits and pushed through until he finally felt it.

A core pulsed through his body, his circuits, his very soul.

The Servants Magic Core reactivated and prana flooded his body. The golden light purged the decay of his circuits and revitalized the few that remained. WIth this also came something else.

Kiritsugu's grey yukata dissapeared and was replaced with the combat gear of EMIYA (Assassin). The Psuedo Servant Kiritsugu Emiya had descended and everything would change.
