Welcome to the archive: Another entry in Qrow Branwen having once been in Yharnam. This is very soon after his return from that hellhole and its affected him greatly.

Glynda marched down the halls of Beacon, the Disciplinary in hand. The students cowered away from her path of righteous fury toward one man in particular.

Glynda flicked her wrist and the doors to the training hall swung open, the sound of a fight coming from the arena making her furious frown deepen. She looks over the arena and sees a student struggling against a man in his late twenties.

Glynda flicks the Disciplinary and sends the man away into a wall, "QROW!" she yells as the student scrambles back. Qrow drags himself up to his feet looking ragged and tired. Honestly, Glynda wasn't sure how she should react to the slightly younger man in front of her.

Recently Qrow's behavior has changed. While he still remained the same snarky, dim-witted prodigy he was, a more feral sense had erupted to the surface.

Glynda's gaze flicked to the student trying to slink away from the arena. The girl flinched as Glynda's eyes landed on her, "We will speak later, young lady." the girl nodded and took the unsaid order to leave.

Glynda waited for the girl to be gone before looking back at Qrow, "What possessed you to challenge a third-year student to a fight," she ground out.

Qrow looked at her and she got a good look at his face. Gods he looked so tired, his eyes were bloodshot with bags under them and the unkept beard didn't help. Qrow bent down and grabbed Harbinger and used it as a makeshift cane to lean on.

Glynda, still frustrated, reiterated her previous question, "She asked." Qrow said, his voice quavering with how tired he seemed to be.

Glynda would've asked another question if another voice hadn't cut her off, "Qrow, how long has it been since you've slept?"

Glynda turned to see Ozpin standing at the door. Qrow barely acknowledged his question as he seemed to stare into space as his eyes became unfocused. Glynda slapped Disciplinary into her hand which snapped him out of his daze as expected.

What Glynda didn't expect was the reaction Qrow had to being snapped out of his daze as he backed up and activated Harbinger. The grip extended as the greatsword blade split into pieces and folded backward. Qrow held the scythe in a stance as he bared his teeth.

Glynda took a step back in shock at the violent reaction while Ozpin stepped forward and tapped his cane on the floor loudly, "Qrow!"

Qrow's eyes widened as he looked at the scythe form of Harbinger before retracting it back into the greatsword and placing it on his back. Qrow didn't acknowledge the two as he walked out of the arena and away from them a haunted look on his face.

Ozpin and Glynda looked at the retreating form of Qrow disappear around a bend in the halls. The two stayed quiet for a while before Ozpin broke it by saying, "I'm worried about him, Glynda."

Glynda nodded, her earlier fury softening, "Me too, Taiyang isn't much better."

"Yes, but he is keeping it together enough to take care of his girls."

"I think he blames himself."

Ozpin hummed in agreement, "That semblance of his really makes it hard to reason with him."

Glynda nods but then recalls the earlier tired look on Qrow's face and Ozpin's question, "Do you truly believe he isn't sleeping."

"Those eyes and the way he was moving shows extreme sleep deprivation, I should know."

Gynda's face softened even more at that, Ozpin was ancient compared to her and Qrow. Of course, he'd be experienced in sleep troubles. Another question entered the deputy's mind as she asked, "When did Harbinger have a scythe form?"

Ozpin looked away in thought before looking back at Glynda, "I have no idea."
