With the dawn breaking, he slowly woke up, stretching his body lazily. To his surprise, Shirou found Waver staring at him with a resentful expression.
He pretended not to see and instead asked, "How did things go?"
As he sat up in bed, Shirou accidentally stepped on Adashino's soft leg, which was resting nearby. Without even glancing down, he quickly kicked her leg aside before standing up and making his way toward Waver.
Waver let out a yawn, his exhaustion evident. "Apart from the names of the angels mentioned on the invitations and the names of the recipients, there's nothing that could serve as a breakthrough. All of them have been invited to witness the inheritance of Adra Castle's legacy."
He noticed Waver's fatigue and commented, "You look tired."
With a resentful tone, Waver responded, "While you were sleeping peacefully all night, I was painstakingly observing and pondering over countless details!"
"Ah, I see," he remarked casually. "Let me clarify. I meant to say that considering your usual late-night dealings with these matters, shouldn't it take at least three days and nights of sleep deprivation to exhaust you? It's surprising to see it happen after just one night."
Waver: "..."
What does this guy take me for?
"I have some fresh information. Someone told me that there may not be a Holy Grail here. At least, there is no divine power at work."
Waver took a moment to process this and then furrowed his brow, asking, "Who gave you this information? Where did it come from?"
"It came from King Solomon."
"King Solomon? Is that... the King of Magecraft?" Waver's eyes widened as he asked, a hint of surprise in his voice.
Shirou nodded, confirming his suspicions. "I can't go into too many details, but to put it simply, I have a means of contacting him, and he can also contact me."
"I see..." Waver furrowed his brow, clearly deep in thought. Then he voiced another concern, saying, "Actually, I have my doubts about something as well."
"What is it?"
Waver held up an invitation and pointed to the name of the invitee. "Take a look at the name of the person invited on this invitation."
Shirou examined it closely, and his surprise was evident. He couldn't help but be taken aback by what he saw.
For on the invitee's name, a name he hadn't expected to see was written—
Tohsaka Tokiomi!
"Whose invitation is this?"
Waver responded, "It's an invitation from Luviagelita Edelfelt!"
"So, that means she's here instead of Tohsaka Tokiomi?"
Waver nodded and added, "We'll need to get more details from her."
"In that case, let's go now. She should be awake by now."
Waver agreed with a nod.
The two of them made their way to Luvia's room, and upon arrival, they noticed that the door wasn't locked. It was a clear indication that she had already gotten up.
Shirou approached the door with the intention of pushing it open, but Waver took the initiative and knocked on it first.
"Are you trying to be a gentleman?" he glanced at Waver, slightly amused.
"Even if you're a king, it doesn't hurt to maintain a certain level of decorum, don't you think?"
"When I have work to do, unless absolutely necessary, efficiency always takes priority over everything else."
