Ch 40 Death Accepted

Waking up and being in a pile of bodies became normal now, your phone screamed at you grabbing it you saw a call from Mikey "hello bro, what can I do for you today?" he chuckles and says "I was wondering if you would like to join me? I will be visiting family and we can spend the day together?" you smile wide and happily reply "yes, that would be fantastic, I will be ready soon" he laughs at your enthusiasm and ends the call".

You hum as you release yourself from the bodies, going for a quick shower and dressing casual but smart, you grabbed the camera you had stolen from the forensics, concealed weapons and you picked up Tomoe, giving your men and Grim a kiss. Leaving to meet your brother, skipping happily.

He was waiting in the front hall, you ran and hugged him, he hugged back, the asked "why the camera?" you chuckle and say "family photographs" he has a small sad smile, holds your hand and gives a head kiss to Tomoe, you get in the car, still cuddling up to him.

You reach the cemetery, he holds your hand and leads you to your stop, you felt the presence of more men, scanning you find them and ask "are they guards?" he smiles and nods, you happily follow now that had been sorted, you sat at Sinshiro's grave and have a small chat with him when you ask "is he the reason you hate Death?".

The response when it came surprised you "he was the start yes. I will agree that I hated death and contemplated going with him by myself, then I met you" you jolted at that, he continued "you have literally lived through hell, and instead of hating Death you embraced him. I realised I have to accept what happened and live with him and you" you smile with wet lashes and hug him hard.

He holds you and whispers "we will share his friendship now sister" you giggle and hold the hug for a bit longer before gesturing to the guard to take a family pic, he looks at his boss who nods, you sit either side of the grave and smile. You stay for a bit longer, then make a small detour to visit Emma, you take another photo. Mikey watched you and realised yes live life till he comes for you himself.

While you were out your men woke, Rin looked around and noticed Tomoe was also missing, he got up and woke the other two, they groaned but got up Sanzu asks "where is Sora?" Rin answered "I don't know, but Tomoe is gone to" Ran groans saying "she might be with the Boss" nods and then Sanzu says "I wish she would let us know" sighs and nods.

You on the other hand were enjoying time with your brother, he took you to a doll museum, it had the evolution of the doll and originals or replicas dating from 10,500 BCE Joman period, to modern day, you wandered around showing Tomoe all the pretty dolls, the man who ran the museum even complimented Tomoe, you giggle and thanked him.

You were sitting in a family restaurant when your phone rang, apologising to your brother you answered "hello babe" the response was "couldn't you of told us you went out?" you cringed, then shyly said "sorry Loves, I was just really excited and I am getting used to the let people know where I am thing" a sigh and other voices in the background "it's okay Looney Tunes, just let us know next time yeah" you smile and happily reply "okay. Love you, see you later" and you hang up.

Looking at your brother he is smirking and says "you didn't tell them?" you grimace and reply "no" he chuckles and you join him. You had the kids meal again with flag and he laughed, a small plate and cup for Tomoe.

As you were talking and enjoying the meal a guard came over and whispered in your brothers ear, he sneered then sighed, looking to you he says "behave" then quieter "if you can?" you raise a brow, when a woman was brought over, she glared at you, you smiled back.

She humpfs and turns to Mikey, with a flirtatious voice says "I have been waiting for your call Sano" you had taken a sip of your drink, and you choked at that, she gives you a sneer, you look between the two and giggle, your brother closes his eyes and replies "we have been over this miss L/n, I am not interested in you" you gasp and the woman looses her cool and shrieks "so you prefer this type of whore, who everyone has fucked".

Silence, complete deadly silence you bite your lip, then laugh as Mikey grits out with a growl "this is my sister. She is not a whore, she is in a serious relationship" you are in heaven as you watch the woman pale, she looked at you and you smiled big back cackling, she collapsed when your brother stated "I am not nor will I ever be interested in you or your type of woman. You are pushy and a shrew" you loose it cracking up, as the woman is dragged off.

He looks at you shakes his head and cracks a smile when you say "want me to sort that problem brother?" grabbing your hand he says "no need we have unimportant people to sort that kind of problem" you both chuckle happily together.

Just spending this time together makes you happy, you arrive home to three grumpy looking idiots, you glance at your brother who smiles and says "that is your problem" as he walks away to your cries of "traitor" turning to your men you pout and say "I really am sorry, I will work on it" as you hug them, they groan and hold you back, faces softening.
