normally the liveliness of the hotel always boosted your mood, you were certainly a people person at most times. those quieter moments you would just spend in your room, and no one would disturb you anyways unless they were genuinely concerned. after the hotel was rebuilt, you had to redecorate your room and it was certainly an upgrade. the whole hotel was upgraded, the fucking king of hell himself helped rebuild. he was even staying here now, much to your surprise. you were surrounded by your friends, in the upgraded lounge, normally you would be laughing your ass off making jokes but today wasn't it. your friends outside the hotel made your mood so shitty, you thought you all were close, but they were constantly spending time together without you. sure, you were working and helping at the hotel, but it doesn't hurt to send you a text, right?

"heya toots where do you think your goin?" the white and pinker spider called out as you just stood up and began to leave. you didn't want to spoil the mood, you smiled softly at Angel, he was probably the most concerned one in the whole hotel. more than Charlie you'd say. you felt all eyes on you suddenly and you had to chuckle nervously, looking away from the many many eyes.

"Not feeling it, missing penny right now." you half lied, their expressions growing soft and giving a simple nod in understanding. you did miss sir pentious, he was your best friend in the hotel, and you had even pushed him to confess to cherry bomb but was killed by that fucking asshole Adam. god it was devastating, you were still grieving about it. maybe that's why your friends upset you more than it should have, with a long sigh you walked to your room. it was on the left side of the building, on a high floor. you asked for it because you loved going onto the roof to stargaze. the hallways were covered in hung photos of either the royal family or the hotel family. you were in a few of them but you never thought you looked good in photos.

"That might be my favourite one in this hall" a voice called out making you jump away from the photo you stood in front of, you let out a relieved sigh when it was just lucifer. well... it was still unnerving, but it was better than Alastor popping up behind you. a small smile grew on your face as he walked next to you, hands behind his back as he gripped his golden snake cane. you gazed over his usual attire before looking at the photo again.

"It was the last one where we were all in one big group, even Alastor is in it... well even if he is distorted a little" your smiled turned into a rather sad one as you looked at sir pentious. you lost your best friend, the only one you could rely on. sure, the hotel people were your friends, but you weren't their first choice. you knew that and it sucked. you couldn't blame them though, it just happens. lucifers hand gently rested on your shoulder giving it a small reassuring squeeze.

"I heard you two were close, I'm sorry, I wish there was more I could do..." he sounded like he meant it, you figured he, being the king, himself has seen millions of people he was close to die. he's been around for so long but even with this he sounded so sad, you frowned softly before shaking your head with a smile. holding back a sniffle.

"it's fine, he would hate to see me cry so ill carry on his name for him, the least I could do." lucifer smiled at this, slipping his hand off as he nodded his head gently. he sure knew the pain of losing someone, but he also knew how much support meant in these times.

"I'm glad to hear that [name], say would you want to stay for a drink?" he asked with a smile before it quickly turned into a nervous panic when you looked at him with a little bit of shock. he fumbled over himself, adjusting his tall ass hat while gripping his cane just a bit harder. "Not in that way- i-i you know- it's just simple company- I know being alone isn't super fun- jeez good on you lucifer-"
