Third Person's POV
"Hum pohonchne wale hain, Sahab," the driver tells Sameer.
Sameer smirks, his hand tightening on the Mangalsutra, before he puts it in his pocket.
"Wahaan pohonchte hi ek sunnsann jagah pe gaadi rokna. Dhyan rahe ki koi awaaz nahi honi chahiye," he tells the driver as well as his men. "Ek toh raat ka samay hai. Chhoti si chhoti awaaz bhi gunz sakti hai aur unko choukanna kar sakti hai."
When the men nod, he looks out of the window, his mind not focused on the road or the scenery, but on the memory of what happened a day back that finally got him Kavita and Anirudh's hiding place.
"Mubarak ho. Smriti bitiya ko beta huwa hai," Dai maa says walking out of the room where Smriti just gave birth.
Tears of happiness well up everyone's eyes as they cheer and embrace each other.
"Abhi Smriti bitiya aaram kar rahi hai aur bachcha bhi unke paas hi rakha hai. Aap log chahen toh unse mil sakte hain," Dai maa says, and after taking the gifts and money for delivering such good news, she walks out of the house with other women that she had brought along with her.
As soon as the main door of the house closes, Sameer signals his men.
Two of them stand on the either side of the room's door where Smriti and the newborn child were.
"Arrey, Sameerji. Apne bhanje ki itni chinta hai aapko ki aapne uski hifajat ki itni taiyyari ki hai?" Pawan smiles, shaking his head.
But as he is about to enter the room, the men stop him.
"Aap andar nahi jaa sakte," one of the men says.
Pawan's smile falters slightly after hearing that. He turns to Sameer and says, "Apne aadmiyon ko aapne majak karna bhi sikhaya hai, Sameerji? Par yeh kuch jyaada nahi ho gaya? Main apni patni aur bete se milna chahta hoon."
Sameer shakes his head, feeling his heart get heavy at having to do this, but he has no other choice. "Aap andar nahi jaa sakte, Pawanji."
At those words, Pawan's smile fully vanishes from his face and he glares at Sameer. "Andar nahi ja sakta? Yeh kya bakwas kar rahein hain aap? Mujhe abhi meri patni aur bachche se milna hai."
"Haan, Sameer. Yeh kya keh rahe ho tum? Bhala Pawan kyun kamre ke andar nahi jaa sakta?" Yamini asks Sameer, looking perplexed at what was happening.
She scans the aangan to look at Damyanti and Mahinder who seem to have guilty expressions on their faces. The way they were staring back at her, made her wonder why they looked as if they were silently apologizing to her.
"Main unhe hamesha ke liye thodi hi rok raha hoon," Sameer says, making Yamini swivel towards him. "Pawanji aur aap ussi waqt kamre ke andar jaa payenge, jis waqt aap mujhe bata dein ke Kavita aur Anirudh kahaan hai."
The way Yamini and Pawan look shocked after hearing him, the way they suck in a sharp breath, it makes Sameer realize he had indeed been right about Kavita and Anirudh being together.
Although he feels slightly relieved about his search finally about to come to an end, more than relief, he feels anger consume him.
'Woh kutiya mujhe chhodke apne yaar ke saath rang raliya mana rahi hai. Sali behaya ko aisa sabak sikhaunga ki woh aur uska yaar dono yaad rakhenge,' Sameer thinks, wondering about the ways to make them both suffer.
