"I thought you'd never call." Amy said with a smile as she sat on the booth in front of me, gripping onto her coffe cup as she blew on it since it was hot "But then again, people surprise you."
"You dyed your hair." I muttered and she smiled, fluffing it with a flirty smile as I chuckled "I like it."
"I know they say 'blondes have more fun' and whatever, but I love this hair color!" she said excitedly "I got tired of being a blonde, so a change was indeed in order." she said as she set her cup down and pressed her elbows on the table as she rested her chin on her hands "So, what's up?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to hang out." I said, she awe'd silently
"You're so full of shit." she laughed as she shook her head and took another sip of her coffe "People always want something in return, the sooner you learn that, the better." she winked as she pointed her finger at me and I sighed as I crossed my arms over my chest
"And the sooner you learn that I'm not just anybody, the better." she cocked her head to the side and smirked, nodding slightly "So, how've you been?" I asked and she shrugged
"Alright." she breathed "Kind of bored, honestly." she said with a slight chuckle "But now I have you here, and I can make fun of your lovelife all I want." she giggled and I groaned slightly "Kidding." she said as she raised her hands in defense "Well, maybe I'm a tiny bit serious." she chuckled "So, what's your big plan for today?"
"I don't know, I just thought we'd walk around." I shrugged "Get to know each other a little better." she snorted and then covered her mouth before laughing loudly, I chuckled slightly
"Is that your idea of a pick up line?" she laughed as she shook her head "No wonder you're single." she muttered and I glared at her slightly "Well, that and the fact that you're in love with someone who's engaged." she chuckled and then put her chin on her hand and looked at me with a small smile "How's that going, by the way?" I sighed deeply before running my hands across my face
"It's not going anywhere." I muttered "We've agreed to be friends, though."
"Hey, that's a start!" she exclaimed as she smacked my shoulder "If you want things to move faster I have an idea." she suggested and I looked at her intently "Next time you see her, bring me along to make her jealous." she grinned and I shook my head with a laugh "I can kiss your cheek and all that coupley stuff, get her a little riled up." she said as she rubbed her hands together as if she had just created the perfect master plan "Ooh, now I'm definitely excited."
"Well don't get too excited, that's not happening." I said and she pouted as she whined in protest
"Aw, come on!" she exclaimed "It'll be fun and you'll have your girl back in no time!"
"Maybe I don't want her back." I muttered, her had whipped towards me in confusion
"Slow your roll buddy, now I'm confused."
"She deserves better than me, all I ever did was hurt her." I whispered and she looked at me with a frown etched on her forehead "She deserves someone who will make her happy, someone like her fiancé."
"Ugh, now you sound depressing." she muttered "And here I thought you were fun!"
"Hey, you brought the topic up." I said as I raised my hands in defense "But I'm serious though, I don't want to hurt her anymore, I couldn't do that again."
"And how would you hurt her this time?" she asked as she crossed her arms over her chest "You'd really be willing to break her heart again? You'd really do that?"
"No!" I exclaimed "Of course I wouldn't."
"Then what could you possibly do that will hurt her more than that?" she asked "After all, is there anything worse than heartbreak?"

"Where have you been all day?" Greg asked as soon as I entered the apartment "What'd with the secrecy?" he said with a smirk as he rubbed his hands together mischieviosuly "Do tell and Jake will never need to find out." I chuckled as I smacked his shoulder, pushing him away with a laugh
"I was just out." I answered "Hanging out with a friend." I said and he gasped loudly, bringing his hand up to his heart as he looked at me in shock
"Lucas Anderson, are you cheating on me?" he whispered "The nerve." he shuddered as he followed me in direction of the sofa
"Stop being such a drama queen, Greg." I laughed as I sat on the sofá and gripped the remote control as I flipped through the channels absentmindedly; I felt Greg sit beside me as he looked at me intently, as if trying to figure out where I'd just been
"You were with a girl." he said with a smile as he gripped my shoulder tightly "Weren't you?" I swatted his hand away and returned my attention to the TV as I laughed, Greg really was smary, but also made the stupidest comments at times
"She's just a friend, Greg." I warned "So don't start getting any ideas." I said and he raised his hands in defense while yanking the remote from my hands and flipping through the channels as I groaned in defeat while he searched for something to watch
"Do I know her?" he asked excitedly and I nodded, he gasped and then turned back to me as if waiting for me to tell him her name
"She's the girl from the bar, from last week." I said and his smirk widened as he chuckled at me "Her name's Amy." he chuckled while shaking his head
"The blonde, right?" he asked and I nodded "She's hot man, you should totally sleep with her again."
"She's a friend, Greg!" I exclaimed "That was a one time thing." I said and he smirk "And she's a brunette now." I added and he chuckled slightly
"Please, with a girl as hot as that, it's bound to happen again." he said with a smirk "But of course, if you don't want her, I can have her." he chuckled and I laughed while shaking my head as I pushed him away
"You're disgusting." I said as I ran my hands through my hair "Besides, I'm in love with someone else, so that'll most definitely never happen again." I said and he sighed loudly before turning to me and looking at me
"Do you need to remind me?" he laughed "Her name probably never escaped your mind, I sometimes think you've gone mad." he chuckled while shaking his head and then running his hand through his hair
"Maybe." I chuckled "She does drive me crazy, ever since the momento I met her."
"Come on man, stop being such a sap." he groaned loudly "It was a high school romance and that is dead and gone! High school was over years ago!"
"Yeah, it was." I breathed "But I've never stopped loving her."
