"Why are we here again?" I asked as Nate pulled the chair out a little so I could sit down, I sent him a soft smile in return

"We're here to meet Dani's oh so secret boyfriend she's been hiding from us for months!" She exclaimed with an excited smile, she then glanced at Andrew and kissed his cheek softly with a smile, a blush creeping onto her cheeks; I could tell, even if the room we were in was really dark

"We've just been waiting until all our friends could meet." She said with a shrug "You guys are crazy busy, along with his friends." She chuckled and I nodded in agreement

"Are they cute?" She asked; the shock in Andrew's face was hilarious "I love you." She cooed with a smile, I laughed softly as Nate shook his head beside me with a smile

"What was his name again?" I asked as I sipped on my mojito which was to die for!

"Jacob." She answered "His name is Jacob."

"Cute name for a potential cute boy." Dinah muttered and I chuckled as I shook my head "Sorry, I'm just so excited to meet him!" She exclaimed as she clapped excitedly

"Is he here yet?" I asked Dani and she scanned the room before smiling widely

"He just got here." She said as she stood up to wave him over; all gazes snapped in the direction she was waving, curious and excited to see who it was; Dinah was the most excited, her massive grin gave it away "Guys, meet my boyfriend, Jake." She said as she wrapped her arm around his forearm, I studied him intently, he was about three inches taller than Dani, given she was in heels of course, he was blond and had green eyes, very good looking

"It's nice to meet you all." Oh, Dinah was swooning! I could tell she had trouble since she squirmed due to his accent and almost fell off the chair, I sniggered slightly in response "These are my mates, Greg and Luke." What. All the boys looked at us confused since all the girls went still; all but one boy, whose gaze I could feel was on me. This couldn't be happening. Not now, not after so many years.

"Shit." Dinah whispered. Shit was right.

"Eleanor?" I froze at the eerily very familiar sound of his voice which caused shivers to run down my spine

"Excuse me." I whispered as I quickly stood up, ignoring the girls' protests as I made my way for the entrance so I could escape, I felt like I was choking and I couldn't breathe.

Why was this happening? Why was he here? I mean, I know why but... I just don't understand! It's been seven years and all of a sudden we just bump into each other?! It doesn't make sense.

"Eleanor, wait!" I heard a voice call out from behind me, I tried my best to blend into the crowd, but it didn't work, I felt someone grab my shoulder, spinning me around to face him. Oh, God! He was even more handsome than last time I had seen him. This wasn't happening, I bet I'm having a nightmare "Please open your eyes." He whispered and I shook my head

"This is a dream." I answered, mostly to myself "If I open my eyes you won't go away."

"This isn't a dream." He whispered and I peered my eyes open, crossing my arms over my chest

"How would you know?" I chuckled "You're just a figment of my imagination." I muttered, he sighed deeply before looking at me seriously. I knew it would be too good of a dream to be true.

"Can I talk now?" He breathed and I frowned

"What are you doing here?" I asked "In New York." I added and he ran his hands through his hair. Oh my God, stop it.

"I live here." He answered with a shrug and I whimpered quietly "What?" He asked

"So do I." I breathed as I pinched the bridge of my nose as I closed my eyes "Listen, I need to go." I said as I stepped backwards but his hands reached out for mine, entwining our fingers, sending jolts of electricity over my body and causing my legs to wobble slightly

"Wait." He pleaded "Can we talk?" He asked and I shook my head and then saw Nate coming in our direction

"Babe, are you okay?" He asked, wrapping his arm around my waist "Hey." He said to Lucas with a smile "I'm Nathan." He said, Lucas nodded

"Lucas." He muttered, never tearing his gaze from mine, Nate glanced between Lucas and I before turning to me

"Do you two know each other?" He asked and I sighed deeply

"We used to. Not anymore." I whispered, Nate shot me a confused look but Lucas' icy stare practically burned a hole on the side of my head which caused me to squirm uncomfortably "Listen, I don't feel too good, so I just think I'll head home." I said

"Want me to come with?" He asked and I shook my head

"No, you go have fun; I'll see you later." I said, pecking him quickly on the lips before glancing at Lucas for a mere second, his expression unreadable, before I tucked my hands in my coat pockets and started walking home.
