Saffire Pov
I walk in behind everyone with Zion in my hand. We all sit in the sitting area while Zander is the hospital room getting treated.
"Did you not notice anything at all Saffire?" Mrs Celia ask while I shake my head no
Talia roll her eyes and whisper something in her ears before walking to the other side of the waiting area. She looks at me and shake her head before speaking.
"Long and short is everything started going left in his life when you came back. I think you tried to kill him."
Before I can respond Dr Hill walks out. "Zander wants to see all of you."
My eyes fill with water instantly with every word and I rush to him and wrap my arms around him.
"I didn't say anything because I don't want you all to be focused on me instead of your own lives. Mommy I'm sorry I disappointed you but I had to make sure I was rich enough before I die. I wrote a will and yeah that's what I wanted to say."
"What are you saying Zander?" I ask looking at him.
"I have cancer."
The machines start going crazy and they ask all of us to leave for a minute. I'm watching them fix everything in the room while everyone else is talking.
"The only person that ever loved me has cancer." Kyrie says crying.
"Don't say that Ky, we love you."
"Daddy loves me like I am his child. Who is going to love me like that now?"
A nurse walks up to me and I look at her. "He wants to speak to you."
I head in the room and I watch Zander laying on the bed helpless and my heart breaks watching the man I love fade away.
He outstretch his hand and take mine.
"I love you Saffire. Now and forever. Say you love me too."
"Zander what's the point if I'll be alone with the kids? After everything we been through this is how we will end?..."
"Sssh, just know I loved you then, I love you now and I'll love you forever."
"Zander what will I say to the kids?"
He takes a deep breathe and then whisper. "You'll do great. Tell them about me and take care of my family."
"I wanted to tell you that I am pregnant." I cry.
"I'm sorry for everything." He says rubbing my belly. "Daddy loves you."
He close his eyes and I rub my hand over his. "Baby we gonna fight this."
"Saffire I need a moment please."
"Why?"
"Babe please, just step out."
I kiss him on his mouth and he kiss me back. I walk out of the room and look through the window of the door to see what he is doing.
He isn't moving or anything so I'm not sure why he wanted me to leave the room.
"Call code in room 2. Nurse get in there." I hear them shouting and running to my direction.
I look to the room and instantly my heart breaks. I rush inside and start shaking Zander but he is unresponsive.
"Mrs Gallo please leave. Nurse take her out." They say to Mrs Celia while Talia is crying.
I scream and try to hold on to Zander's hand but they have about four nurse pulling me out of the room.
"Zanderrr, baby please we can fight this. Please help him. Oh god he can't die, we just got together."
Two years later
"Mommy is daddy okay?" Zion ask looking up at me.
"Ofcourse daddy alright. Him and uncle Zues a party." Kyrie says lifting Zion.
All of us are here to put flowers on Zander's grave for what is the second anniversary of his passing.
Mrs Celia and Talia are both crying while Kyrie is just looking at the headstone.
"Hey guys can I have a moment please. Take Zena with you guys." They take Zena and head back to the car.
I place the rose in my hand on the headstone and kneel Infront of it.
"It's been two long years without you Zander and it's been hard but I'm holding the family together like you wanted. Your mom wants me to date but I can't. Your nephew is almost three years old in a couple of months, he looks just like Zues.
He has Zues personality as well so that's crazy. Talia talks with the mom and younger brother on the daily. They were even here last month for Talia's graduation.
You would have been so proud of her, aspiring doctor. Stappa comes around from time to time and we all sit and talk about you and Zues.
I hate that we didn't get the ending I wanted but I understand that this is not a story so I don't get my fairytale ending with my man."
I feel a strong breeze and I laugh. One thing even in death he plays rough.
"We fought so hard to be together but life had other plans. I love you Zander."
I rub my hand over the headstone once more before standing. Kyrie runs up to me and hug me.
"Daddy knows you love him and so do I mom."
I smile and kiss his forehead. I may have lost the love of my life but he left me surrounded by so much love it's crazy.
"I love you Kyrie, so much, that's why you get away with so much things."
"Nope I get away with them because I'm slick like my daddy."
"Oh really now." I reply walking to the car.
"Ready for our trip to Mexico?" Talia ask laughing."
"Hell yes Mrs Celia shout."
"So I'm going to babysit these one's?" Kyrie ask looking at us."
"You wish. Now buckle up we ready." I say taking one last look at the headstone.

"Suh what's the new plan now badbro?"
"Keep them safe no matter what." I reply.
We both watch as they drive off heading to Mexico.
"Hate how I can't be with my yute but it's what we have to do."
"It's a sacrifice we had to make to keep them safe."
We both bump our fist and light our cigar heading to Mexico city.
Things is not always as they seem. Remember that.😉
